Take a look at MLB Overnight Betting Lines for the games taking place on Wednesday, and cash these three MLB picks at the best available price provided in the odds market.

Boston Red Sox vs. Kansas City Royals (Game 1 Of Day/Night Doubleheader)
Steven Wright finally ran into a rough start in his last outing against Houston Astros but I still look at the kunckleballer and the Red Sox team behind him being worthy of betting support in this near even price range as they face the Royals here on Wednesday afternoon. Wright has never faced the Royals in his career and often times that becomes an advantage for any starting pitcher. Wright’s stats are never going to blow people away because he does not induce a lot of weak contact.

Most outs are fly balls against him but what is a key stat is that despite his ground ball rate declining from 43.2% last season to 40.7% this season, his home run percentage for each fly ball has gone down from 12.2% to 4.5% so he is doing a better job of keeping the ball in the park. Prior to his last start, Wright had yielded 2 runs or less in each of his first 6 starts so I think he can bounce back in this outing.

Ian Kennedy has been solid for the Kansas City Royals but my concern with him against this surging Boston lineup in this game is his propensity to give up dingers and he allowed 3 home runs in his last start against the NY Yankees and when a pitcher is giving up hard contact, that isn’t the kind of profile that bodes well for success against the Red Sox who have been hitting their share of home runs and extra base hits during their current streak.

Houston Astros vs. Chicago White Sox
Runs should be plentiful between the Astros and White Sox on Wednesday night. Doug Fister has not been razor sharp in the first couple months of the season as he attempts to bounce back from a season marred by injuries and struggles with the Washington Nationals in 2015. Fister has been marginally better in recent starts but he still owns a very low 4.64 strikeouts per 9 innings along and a career low 5.0% swinging strike rate.

He Is not getting many swings and misses and it is worth noting that in his last two starts here at U.S. Cellular Field in Chicago, he allowed 9 runs on 16 hits in 10 innings of work. Mat Latos is traveling on the regression highway right now entering this game for the White Sox as his hot start was largely fraudulent due to the baseball being hit at the right spot against him ending up right at a defender but we’ve seen him struggle in recent outings allowing 13 runs on 25 hits in his last 15.1 innings of work over his last three starts and all three of those games flew Over the total on MLB odds. Both teams are trending Over the total in recent games as Houston is 5-1-1 to the Over in their last 7 games and Chicago is 8-2 to the Over in their last 10 games. I expect a similar result here.

Colorado Rockies vs. St. Louis Cardinals
This is another game that should feature runs involved two very suspect pitchers on Wednesday night. Chris Rusin has been roughed up in each of his last two starts with the Rockies. The Colorado lefty has allowed 11 runs on 23 hits in his last 10 innings of work against Arizona and San Francisco. Rusin got crushed in this ballpark by the St. Louis Cardinals last season allowing 5 runs on 10 hits in 5 innings and the St. Louis lineup which has scored 5+ runs in 6 of their last 9 games should be able to have success at the plate here once again.

On the flip side, Adam Wainwright is someone I have talked about countless times this season and he is still struggling to find his form and is coming off a disastrous outing against the LA Angels allowing 7 runs on 11 hits in just 5 innings of work. Colorado is in good form offensively of late scoring 24 runs in their last 4 games combined and they have plenty of run scoring potential against a reeling Wainwright in this game. The Over is 6-2 in the Cardinals last 8 games and the Over is also a perfect 4-0 in Adam Wainwright’s last four starts. I expect runs in bunches between the Rockies and Cardinals sending this game Over the total, so iI'll make it one of my MLB picks.
