Sports handicapper Ian Cameron provides an MLB Early Lines Report for the baseball card taking place on Saturday, September 3. The Astros vs Rangers line has some interesting value.

Houston Astros vs Texas Rangers
Derek Holland has found something positive since rejoining the Texas Rangers starting rotation in August. In two starts since returning, he’s allowed just 2 runs in 12 innings against Cincinnati and Cleveland and the team behind him is playing red hot baseball at the moment with the Rangers having won seven of their last eight games. The Rangers have been crushing the baseball scoring 53 runs in their last 8 games combined. Texas also owns a tremendous 45-21 home record this season and yet here they are wrongfully priced (IMO) as home underdogs against the Houston Astros on Saturday.

Dallas Keuchel will take the mound for Houston but in two previous starts in Arlington this season, he has been roughed up to the tune of 10 runs allowed in 13.1 innings of work and the Astros have lost each of those two previous starts by Keuchel in this ballpark earlier this season. Houston is 6-8 in 14 road starts by Keuchel this season. I’m willing to bet that Houston doesn’t deserve being road chalk here and I look for Texas to build on their terrific home record.
