Each and every Sunday Swinger looks to bust your bookmaker with his MLB picks so get ready to end your week on a winning note as he reveals his selections for Sunday, July 20th.

Swinger's 2014 MLB Record (17-15-1, +3.2 units)  *Picks are rated from 1 to 5 units*
Son of a bitch. I thought we were going to have a nice day last Sunday when the Red Sox cashed breezily for four units as -130 road chalk in MLB odds, trouncing the Astros 11-0. And thus I was anticipating a sweep when the Tigers, led by the enigmatic Justin Verlander, jumped out to a 2-0 lead over the Royals but were eventually outdueled, bowing 5-2 and costing me a four unit play.

When the dust cleared I lost 1.2 units in juice and felt a bit crestfallen after tearing it up for so many weeks and erasing a miserable start to the baseball season. Nevertheless, we are still 3.2 units to the good and looking to add a whole lot more daylight between us and breakeven. Let's do this boys.

Giants vs. Marlins
The visiting Giants look to sweep this series from a Marlins team that has fallen back to earth, having lost six straight. San Francisco will trot Tim Lincecum to the mound and the two-time Cy Young winner has been devastating as of late. Lincecum has won his last four starts and allowed only one earned run in 30+ innings of work. The man has been unhittable while his counterpart for Miami, Brad Hand, got roughed up for three runs over just four innings of work against the Mets in his latest appearance.

Don't overthink this one boys and girls. The Giants are neck and neck with the Dodgers for first place in the NL West while the Marlins are doing a fast fade into oblivion. Play the better team and don't let the venue shake you. Hostile territory hasn't bothered the Giants in the first two games of this series, why should it now?

MLB Pick: San Francisco Giants -130 for 4 units at Bet365.com.

Rockies vs. Pirates (MAX PLAY)
The Rox have looked lousy recently and they will be happy to leave the Steel City on a getaway Sunday after tail spinning  their way to a four-game slide, two of which were courtesy of the Pirates during this series. Tyler Matzek will take the hill for Colorado and if his recent outings are any indication of how this one will go then it appears the Rockies are due for their fifth straight loss.

While Matzek has dropped his last three starts and surrendered an average of four runs in six innings of work, Pittsburgh's starter Jeff Locke has been quite the opposite. Locke has allowed only four combined runs over his last three starts where he has averaged over seven innings plus. The Pirates are hitting and the Rox are missing. This looks like an easy play to add to your MLB picks.

MLB Pick: Pittsburgh -185 at for 5 units at Bet365.com (5 unit MAX PLAY)

MLB Pick: Pittsburgh - 1 ½ (+115) runs for 3 units at Bet365.com.

Rangers vs. Blue Jays
What the hell happened to the team that won 91 games last season? Yeah, I'm talkin' to you Texas! Let's see if there's any light at the end of the tunnel or just a freight train comin' their way. The Blue Jays and Rangers are knotted at one in this series so this is the rubber game and a chance for Texas to change gears drastically from their abhorrent first half.

Here's the deal on this one boys. Both teams are having issues but one team is getting plenty of juice which is what I like. The Rangers are +155 at Bet365.com and I like those numbers particularly when you consider that Toronto has dropped nine of their last thirteen and Mark Buehrle, has gone 0-5 in his most recent starts and was pulled after only five innings, getting touched for nine hits on two runs, right before the break

This is a value play gents because I see this game as a coin flip. Therefore, the vig I shall take and hope it cashes big time baby!

MLB Picks: Rangers +155 for 3 units at Bet365.com.
