After another successful day, the month of June has been very good to me with my MLB betting picks. Let’s keep the momentum going as there’s an appealing and profitable slate of games for Sunday.

Milwaukee Brewers (46-30) vs. Colorado Rockies (34-40)
Coors Field is Laughable….and Profitable
I was all over the over yesterday as Coors Field is a place where you’ll see lots of runs being scored on a game to game basis. This is a good game for trends. In their last 16 meetings, these two teams are 12-3-1, favoring the over and in their last 26 meetings at Coors Field, the over has occurred 18 times with one push. The over is 10.5 in this game and with no star pitchers taking the mound. You know where we’re headed. (over!)

Offensive Explosion?
Both of these teams are two of the best in baseball where offense is concerned. The Brewers rank 4th in the majors in runs ,6th in batting average, and 4th in slugging percentage. Imagine  the kind of damage that they would do if their home park was Coors Field.

As for the Rockies, they’re 2nd in the MLB in runs, 1st in batting average, 3rd in on-base percentage, and 1st in slugging percentage.

On a Sunday, my only concern would be the status of Troy Tulowitkzi. The Rockies have a tendency to sit him out on Sundays. Keep your eye out for today’s starting lineups.

Nonetheless, “Tulo” has plenty of support as guys like Charlie Blackmon (12 HR, 44 RBI, .301 BA), and Corey Dickerson (10 HR, 29 RBI, .354 BA in 144 at-bats) have been swinging a hot stick despite the Rockies losing fairly often. Dickerson is 10 for his last 18 with 2 HR and 6 RBI.

The difference between these teams is their pitching and that’s why Milwaukee has become the most improved team in baseball. That said, it doesn’t hurt to be supported by the likes of Carlos Gomez, Aramis Ramirez, Ryan Braun, Scooter Gennett; the list goes on.

Ryan Braun is certainly due for a huge game. He’s been slumping in the month of June, hitting just .217. Could the inexperienced Tyler Matzek (1-1, 3.75) be the pitcher that Braun starts a hot streak against?

This game to me is like siding with Masahiro Tanaka. With Tanaka, you’re almost always going to get a good performance and a win and at Coors Field, you’re almost always going to see high run totals. Take the over.

Sunday Night Baseball
Texas Rangers (35-39) vs. Los Angeles Angels (40-33)
Darvish Invades Southern California
This outcome of this game will be dependent upon the right arm of star pitcher Yu Darvish (7-3, 2.39) as he faces an Angels lineup with the likes of Mike Trout, Albert Pujols, and Josh Hamilton.

Darvish can be inconsistent at times like he was in his last start when he allowed 4 runs in just 5 innings to Oakland in a loss, but for the most part this is a pitcher that usually mows down his opponents and is one of the more intimidating pitchers in the league.

The Angels have won the first two games of this series and Texas would like to salvage the series with at least one win tonight.

The Future of Major League Baseball
I can’t say the best current player, but Mike Trout has all of the tools to be the face of this sport for the nest 15 to 20 years. Trout got off to a sluggish start this season, but has since been on a tear lately. He’s batting .333 in the month of June with 5 HR and 16 RBI. Trout has also lifted his seasonal average above .300 and his on-base percentage is nearing .400.

This is a player that can change the complexion of a game with one swing of the bat or a great defensive play in the outfield. I don’t expect Darvish to dominate this matchup. This game is on national television and is a great spot for Trout to shine.

Joe C.’s Leans
New York Yankees -203 over Baltimore Orioles

This is an early game, but I definitely want to add this in as it’s the day that I wait for; Masahiro Tanaka starts for New York.

Tanaka could be tested in this game against hitters like Adam Jones and Chris Davis, but Tanaka has proven that he can make the transition from the Japanese League to the MLB. The odds will always be steep with Tanaka, but he’s worth it.
