In order to cash big with Sunday's MLB picks, we’re going to focus on Padres/Diamondbacks and Giants/Dodgers. Read this informative betting preview article which includes our total picks on both games.

Padres (Cashner) vs. Diamondbacks (Hellickson) 4:10 PM ET

The Padres Andrew Cashber has been in terrible form during his previous four starts, evidenced by a large 8.59 ERA, and horrible 1.95 WHIP. The Padres are 44-26 (62.9%) over the total this season.

The Diamondbacks Jeremy Hellickson has a sizable 5.90 ERA and 1.62 WHIP in six starts at home in 2015. He’s also struggled mightily in two starts versus the Padres this year, posting a huge 7.94 ERA. The Diamondbacks are 19-13 (59.4%) over the total at home in the 2015 MLB campaign. Those games have averaged a combined 9.6 runs scored per outing, and that’s a very high number for a National League team.

Bill Welke will be the home plate umpire for today’s game. Welke is 9-3 over the total behind the dish this season. I like this game to be a high scoring affair, and one of my MLB picks on Sunday will indicate just that. Heritage provides me with the best price on this total.

MLB Picks: Play on the Padres and Diamondbacks over 8.5 (-110) at Heritage.

Giants (Lincecum) vs. Dodgers (Anderson) 8:08 PM ET
The Giants Tim Lincecum seemed on track to rejuvenating his career based on his early season numbers. However, that’s all made an abrupt change of late. Lincecum has gone 5-0 over the total in his last five starts with a 6.97 ERA. In those outings, he allowed six home runs, and walked 14 in just 25 1/3 innings of work. Since 6/26/2013, the Giants hurler has made three starts at Dodger Stadium, and had an unimpressive 6.46 ERA. The Giants are 22-11 (66.7%) over the total on the road this season, averaging 5.2 runs per game, and hitting a stellar .283 as a team.

Brett Anderson will be making his fourth start of the season against the Giants on Sunday. He was ineffective in the first three, posting a lofty 6.00 ERA, and 1.67 WHIP. The Dodgers are 25-13 (65.8%) over the total at home in 2015. They’ve also seen four of five at home go over the total versus San Francisco.

This has all the ear marks of a high scoring game, and that’s the direction I’m headed when making one of my MLB picks on Sunday. After surfing all the major sportsbooks, 5Dimes gave me the best value MLB odds.

MLB Picks: Play on the Giants and Dodgers over 7.5 (-108) at 5Dimes.
