Take a look at what Sunday has to offer as I’ve found some MLB games that appear to be profitable and it’s time to grab them at the best odds possible with our picks of the day.

Yesterday had 2-0 written all over it, but a bad beat in the Mets game turned our day into a split; that’s gambling. We turn the page and get ready for Sunday.

Los Angeles Angels vs. New York Yankees
Does the Tanaka Streak Continue?
I believe unofficially that Yankees starter, Masahiro Tanaka, has won his last 30 decisions (Spring Training included). Tanaka feels that he could go 24-0 again; now that’s confidence.

Thus far, he’s started his career out in the United States at a near perfect 3-0 with a 2.15 ERA. I said that I’m taking Tanaka everytime that he pitches until he loses and I’m not wavering on that.

Can the great Tanaka handle a nationally televised baseball game against the Los Angeles Angels featuring Mike Trout (6 HR, 15 RBI, .313) and Albert Pujols (9 HR, 21 RBI, .299 BA)? My guess is yes and a Trout vs. Tanaka matchup is a look at the future in the MLB because these are possibly the two best players and the two most marketable players that baseball has to offer.

New York had evened up this series at 1-1 on Saturday as catcher John Ryan Murphy notched his 1st home run of his career in a 4-3 Yankees win. Now, we look towards the rubber match and all eyes will be on Tanaka.

I’m not going to touch the total Tanaka has had lapses, but I’m laying the juice and taking the Bombers for my MLB picks as Tanaka extends his winning streak.

MLB Pick: Yankees -166 at 5 Dimes

Detroit Tigers vs. Minnesota Twins
It’s JV Time
After a disappointing 2013 season, ace Justin Verlander (3-1, 2.18) has come out of the gates strong for the 2014 MLB campaign. Verlander could be tested as today’s game as the Minnesota Twins have become an inter-division rival for Detroit. The Twins are just 2 games behind the Tigers in the loss column. Look for Verlander to bring his best as the Twins are a team that can’t be taken lightly anymore.

The Twins rank 4th in the league in runs, 1st in on-base percentage, and are coming off of a 5-3 victory over Detroit on Saturday in which they scored 4 runs in the 5th inning to take control of this game.

Offense Alert!
As Brian Dozier provides the power, the combination of Trevor Plouffe (1 HR, 17 RBI, .310 ), Chris Colabello (3 HR, 27 RBI, .308), and Jason Kubel (1 HR, 12 RBI, .303) are really making their presence being felt on this team while Joe Mauer has gotten off to a slow start. If you haven’t heard about Chris Colabello, you certainly know who he is now as his 27 runs batted in are tied with Jose Abreu for tops in the American League.

Verlander gets major respect as the Tigers are a -150 favorite on the MLB odds board and at this point, we have no other option but to choose Detroit in this competitive matchup.

MLB Pick: Detroit -150 at 5 Dimes
