Zack Greinke hasn’t had too much luck against his former team in LA, but his Diamondbacks are on a roll and underdogs on the MLB odds against the slumping Dodgers.

Arizona Diamondbacks vs. Los Angeles Dodgers

Don’t look now, but the Los Angeles Dodgers aren’t looking as invincible as they did a couple of weeks ago. Their reversal of fortune is directly tied to the Arizona Diamondbacks who pulled off their 11th-straight win in the series opener on Monday. Despite the streak, they’re underdogs for Tuesday’s tilt that finds Zack Greinke (16-6, 3.08) on the mound against LA’s Hyun-Jin Ryu (5-7, 3.71).

JD Martinez broke open Monday’s contest with four homers, three of them coming over the final three innings, to fuel the Diamondbacks to a 13-0 decision in a contest Bookmaker closed Arizona on a +155 money line. It was the 4th-straight win for the Snakes over LA, and the Dodgers’ ninth loss in their last 10 games. Arizona now leads the season series 9-8 with totals running 4-3 O/U in the contests at Chavez Ravine.

Snakes Got To Ryu 6 Days Ago In Phoenix
Greinke closed August with a nice performance against the Dodgers in Phoenix last Thursday, six innings of 1-run baseball in an 8-1 decision as a slight underdog. It was Arizona’s 19th win behind their ace this year, baseball bettors following him up a cool 10 units. He had dropped his previous two decisions against LA this year, one of those an April matchup against Clayton Kershaw, and is now 2-4 with a 5.09 ERA in six starts against them wearing a Diamondbacks uniform.

Ryu was knocked around by these Diamondbacks the last time out, his one and only start against them in 2017. Home runs by Adam Rosales and Paul Goldschmidt in the first inning pretty much did him and the Dodgers in, the lefty responsible for every Arizona run in a 6-4 loss as -125 road chalk on the MLB odds. Los Angeles had won his six previous starts, all of which came after he returned from about a month-long DL stint, and tonight marks his first home start against the D-Backs in three years.

Umpire Notes, Mother Nature & A Free Pick
Slated to call balls and strikes tonight is David Rackley, the Houston native checking in with a 15-8-1 O/U/P record on the year. It’s his third plate assignment at Dodger Stadium for 2017, each of the previous two going ‘over’ the totals and Los Angeles winning both. Home favorites are 12-7 while 8 run totals have finished 2-3 O/U.

Clear skies, muggy temps in the mid-70s and a light WSW breeze (out to right) greet the start of the game. I really don’t like Greinke here, but can’t bring myself to suggest a free baseball pick that goes against Arizona’s win streak.

Free Pick with Best Line: Diamondbacks +115 at Bookmaker

[/]{"component":"oddswidget", "eventId":3139878, "sportsbooksIds":[93,999993,180,1096,238], "LineTypeId":2, "PeriodTypeId":1 }[/]

Season: 69-74-4 (-1.20)
