Here we have an early look at MLB Overnight Betting Lines for the games taking place on Sunday, and a couple of picks that can grow your account balance.

Washington Nationals vs San Diego Padres
Two vulnerable lefties head to the mound for the series finale between the Nationals and Padres on Sunday. Gio Gonzalez has struggled for the better part of the last month allowing 24 runs in his last 29 innings of work over his last five starts and Gonzalez yielded 5 runs in 4.2 innings in his only start against San Diego last season.

San Diego has hit lefties hard most of the season faring much better against southpaws as I think the Padres have potential to score some runs with the likes of Matt Kemp and Wil Myers among others in very good form the plate right now. Drew Pomeranz will get the starting nod for San Diego and the Padres lefty has labored in three of his last four trips to the hill allowing 14 runs in 15 innings of work against Miami, Atlanta and Arizona.

Washington’s lineup has crushed it of late scoring 49 runs in their last 8 games including 15 runs in the first two games of this series against the Padres. Both bullpens have given up runs late in games so far in this series providing even more elements toward what should be a higher scoring game on Sunday afternoon, so let's take the MLB Odds Over in this one.

Los Angeles Angels vs Oakland Athletics
Jered Weaver and Eric Surkamp are two very hittable pitchers these days and that should provide us with plenty of chances for runs in this one between the Angels and Athletics. Weaver has been dismal over his last two starts allowing 12 runs on 17 hits in 11.1 innings against the NY Yankees and Minnesota and for the season,

Weaver has struggled on the road with a 5.97 ERA in 6 road starts. He’s allowed 10 runs on 12 hits in 12.2 innings over his last two starts against Oakland here at the Coliseum and I expect him to run into more problems here. We cashed an easy Over the total winner in Eric Surkamp’s last start against Texas and he continues to get hit around allowing 14 runs in his last 9.2 innings of work and he has an abhorrent 9.26 ERA in three home starts this season surrendering 12 runs on 20 hits in 11.2 home innings pitched with more walks issued (7) than strikeouts (4).

Neither starter is a likely candidate to eat innings and pitch deep which means two mediocre bullpens are likely to get some action in this game and open the door for late runs to be scored. This total of 9 is fairly high for a game in Oakland but it is warranted and I still expect to see these teams combine for double digits in runs scored and send this game Over the total for my MLB Pick.
