The bad beat of the year occurred in major league baseball last night, and the only place you’re going to hear anybody talking about it is on today’s SportsBIT. Pauly and Teddy explain exactly how the Rockies – Marlins Over 8.5 wager was a true ‘moose’; a game with eight home runs that couldn’t (and didn’t) cash an Over 8.5 wager.

These are the type of wagers that the mainstream media doesn’t notice and doesn’t cover. Yet in the betting world – and for anybody who had a Miami – Colorado Over bet in their pocket – this was the bad beat of all bad beats, rivaling only a White Sox – Mariners game from June 2013 that was 0-0 into the 14th inning before both teams scored five runs each in the 14th, sending it Over the total. It’s a truly brutal beat. Teddy and Pauly offer their condolences to anyone who had the wrong side of that wager.

Pauly and Teddy answer some Twitter questions on Tuesday’s SportsBIT as well.  if you have a question that you would like them to discuss on air, use one (or all) of  these: # SportsBIT @PaulyHoward @Teddy_Covers.
Question #1? How do you know when an Over streak is finally over and when do you jump off it if you’ve been riding it (Twins Overs that we brought up last week)?

Answer: When one of the two prevailing themes of Over teams changes -- hot lineup goes cold or a series of good efforts from the starters and/or a favorable schedule with some days off allows a tired bullpen to get some rest. If nothing changes, you can ride it for weeks on end. If Minnesota’s bats go cold  or their bullpen gets some rest and becomes more effective, you leave this run alone and start to look for the next one. That being said, with the Twins now 13-1-1, Teddy is in no rush to jump off this Minnesota Over train.

Question #2:  Do you get embarrassed off a bad, wrong side loser like Cards - Rangers Over on the Weekend Preview show last Friday?
Make sure you watch the full SportsBIT show on Tuesday (link) (including a preview of the 2016 New Orleans Saints, and breakdowns of USA – Argentina in soccer and the Royals – Mets World Series rematch in MLB) to see how Teddy and Pauly answer that ‘are you embarrassed’ question……..
