Baltimore has gotten the better of Washington the past two nights at Camden Yards, but now it's the Nats who are big interleague favorites on the MLB odds in their home park against the Orioles.

MLB Season Record: 12-22 (-11.48)

They own the best records in their respective leagues after two games in Baltimore left the Orioles smiling and the Nationals scrambling. Now they hope to turn the interleague rivalry around when the series shifts to Washington for the next two days. Game 3 of the home-&-home set begins at 7:05 PM (ET) with Wade Miley hurling for the O's and Stephen Strasburg for the favored Nats, who are -178 at 5Dimes with an 8-run total priced -120 to the 'under.'

A 4-run first helped the Orioles to a 6-4 win in the series opener at Camden on Monday, and a 9th-inning rally allowed them to extend Game 2 before eventually winning it 5-4 in the 12th. Baltimore has fared well at Nationals Park, winning four of the last five there and 14 of 24 overall. Totals have split evenly in DC since the start of the 2013 schedule (4-4-1 O/U/P).

'Under' Has Been Big Winner In Strasburg's 2017 Assignments

Don't be surprised if Miley is a bit gun-shy on balls hit back up the middle after he was nailed by two line drives his last time out. The southpaw was hit on his left wrist and then his hip in the top of the first vs. the White Sox, forcing him out of the contest following just 12 pitches. Baltimore held on to win to move to 4-2 and up nearly 2 units vs. the MLB odds in Miley's assignments. He has made seven career starts vs. the Nats, some good, some bad and resulting in a 2-2 record with a 3.75 ERA (38.1 IP).

Strasburg hasn't seen much action in this rivalry as Wednesday marks just his third assignment vs. the O's. The Nationals did win the previous two, however, while the former San Diego State star pitched to a 2.25 ERA. It's also his first start of 2017 outside the NL East, having faced the Phillies three times already. The best way to bet the Strasburg's appearances up to now has been the 'under,' which has cashed five times with the other outing pushing an 8 run total.

Umpire Notes, Mother Nature & A Free Pick

Usually when there are these 4-game, home-&-home interleague series, the umps move from one locale to the next with the teams. Assuming they do shift from Charm City to the nation's capital with the O's and Nats, Doug Eddings will call balls and strikes tonight. The Las Cruces native is 5-1 O/U on the campaign, the highest total so far being 9 and that game went 'over.' That leaves Eddings 20-8-1 since the start of the 2016 campaign.

Weather shouldn't be an issue with the game beginning at 70º and a light breeze in from center. What has been an issue for Dusty Baker and the Nationals is a bullpen that has blown 6 of 16 save ops and simply can't be trusted right now. I will, put some faith in Strasburg and his 'under' trend with a play that way for my free baseball pick.
