After a couple of wins on Friday, we're carrying major momentum into the weekend and just at the right time as the MLB Season is coming to a close. So let's go out with a bang with our MLB picks.

New York Mets vs. Cincinnati Reds: Are We Going To See An Innings Count?
I nailed my 3 unit play yesterday as the New York Mets continued to be on fire and beat up on the Cincinnati Reds on the road. My major concern here is the antics of Matt Harvey and his innings count.

In his last start, Harvey (12-7, 2.80 ERA) pitched a gem, going 5 innings against the Yankees while giving up just 1 hit and striking out 7. Those Subway Series games are coveted and by Harvey leaving early because of Agent Scott Boras, he's disgracing the game.

Everyone knows that Matt Harvey is an elite pitcher, but if the Mets have to worry about his innings, especially in a playoff scenario, he's useless. Manager, Terry Collins, was very unhappy about this in his last start. How many innings will Matt Harvey pitch if he pitches well this afternoon? Are we going to see another 5 inning start or more?

Have No Fear
At this point, I'm a little less concerned as the Mets offense is taking care of business. Daniel Murphy has been as steady as they come, Curtis Granderson has been showing major power and Lucas Duda is starting to hit and coming off of a monster game. New York needs Duda to be the player that he was at the end of last season.

Duda is coming off of a 2 HR and 6 RBI game in the Mets12-5 win last night. In his last 2 games, Duda has raised his batting average 5 points and is 4 for 7 with 2 runs, 2 doubles, 2 HR and 8 RBI during that time period. I see no let up in the Mets offense. They can smell the playoffs and are one of the best teams in baseball with a pitching staff that is very deep and talented.

Seattle Mariners vs. Los AngelesFelix Hernandez at -104 Odds
That's all I need to know. I know that the Angels are a better team and are in a wild card race. I also know that they possess the reigning AL MVP in Mike Trout, and I know that the Mariners are going nowhere depsite the consistent power of Nelson Cruz, but when a team has good pitching, it's the deciding factor. Not only that, to get King Felix at these MLB odds is a gift, however not here.

Playoff Scenario
Thanks to a late season collapse by the Houston Astros, L.A. is only .5 game behind Houston at 79-74 and the Minnesota Twins are just one game behind the Angels. Every game is huge. Los Angeles must find a way at home to get past the Mariners and with Felix Hernandez pitching, this appears to be an impossible task.

Los Angeles has won their last 3 games, 1 including an 8-4 win over Seattle, and have been hitting well. A superstar knows when to pick up the pace and becomes clutch in pivotal situations and that's just the way that Mike Trout has been playing. Trout is 10 for his last 28 with 5 runs, 3 doubles, 2 HR and 5 RBI. For his career, he's hit King Felix well, going .349 in 63 at bats with 4 HR and 13 RBI. I don't know if Hernandez will decide the game. This game could come down to the bullpen of Seattle, but Los Angeles will find a way to win this baseball game, so back them with your MLB picks.

MLB Pick: Los Angeles Angels -104 at 5Dimes
