Milwaukee Brewers (Garza) vs. Washington Nationals (Gonzalez) 7:05 PM ET

The Brewers starter Matt Garza has displayed solid form over his last 3-starts posting a stellar 2.31 ERA, a 0.77 WHIP, and a 4:1 strikeout to walk ratio. The Brewers right-hander has gone 0-3 against the money line in his last 3-starts versus the Nationals, and had a 3.43 ERA in those outings. Garza has gone 14-24 against the money line in his career following a start in which he allowed 2 earned runs or less.

The Nationals starter Gio Gonzalez enters tonight in superb form during his previous 4-starts. In those 4-outings the Nationals southpaw has posted a terrific 0.98 ERA and a 0.90 WHIP. Gonzales has gone a perfect 3-0 against the money line in his career when facing the Brewers, and had a stellar 1.89 ERA in the process. The Nationals hurler has also gone a very profitable 5-1 against the money line at home this season with a 3.18 ERA.

Advantage: The clear advantage here goes to Gio Gonzalez of the Nationals over Matt Garza of the Brewers.

Seattle Mariners (Hernandez) vs. Los Angeles Angels (Richards) 9:05 PM ET
The Mariners starter Felix Hernandez has gone an outstanding 11-2 against the money line in his last 13-starts this season. The Mariners ace right-hander has allowed 2 earned runs or less in each of his previous 11-starts. In 20-starts on the year, the Seattle hurler has a better than 6:1 strikeout to walk ratio, while posting an impressive 2.12 ERA, and 0.90 WHIP. “King Felix has gone 2-0 versus the Angels this season with a 1.84 ERA.

Take a Look at Where We Placed Our Pick for Last Night's Matchup!

The Angels starter Garrett Richards is in the midst of a career type of year. The Angels right-hander has taken over as the new ace of the Angels staff and rightfully so. He’s gone 15-4 against the money line this season with a sparkling 2.55 ERA. As a matter of fact, he’s gone a perfect 8-0 against the money line in his last 8-starts, and posted a superb 1.27 ERA during those outings. He’s seen all 4 of his career team starts versus the Mariners go under the total, and posted a miniscule 1.91 ERA in those outings.

Advantage: This is a battle of two red-hot starting pitchers who are both having outstanding 2014 campaigns. It’s for that reason I deem this to pitching matchup as a tossup. I lean toward this one being a low scoring affair, and the under may be well worth a look despite the low total.
