Although two veterans will be on the mound I am backing the over the total when the Minnesota Twins visit the Texas Rangers.  This game could get out of hand pretty quickly in my opinion.

Best Odds
MLB odds makers have opened this game up 9 to 9.5 at different books.  For me the best value is on the plus money line and you can get the over at Pinnacle Sports Book for +115.

The Vets
Mike Pelfrey takes the mound for the twins and he has had a fantastic year so far.  He is a bit over due though to come back down to earth.  He comes in with a 2.28 ERA and 1.22 WHIP, but his career numbers are well over those 4.42 and 1.47.  He is not a big strikeout pitcher and in his career has just 60 wins against 72 losses.  For the Rangers Colby Lewis comes in with 4.42 ERA and 1.24 WHIP.  Even with the big numbers, surprising like Pelfrey those his numbers go up career wise.  He has been roughed up a few times this year and is also not a big strikeout guy.

Both the Twins and the Rangers come in with ok numbers on the year offensively ranking in about the middle of the league in most offensive categories.  Notably though the Rangers rank 4th in runs scored per game and the Twins rank 14th.

Both pitchers have shown in their career they can get lit up at times. After just ten hits combined yesterday look for these two teams to have a lot of quality at bats and put up a lot runs early and often.
