The 'Under' has gone 13-6 the L19 Dodgers-Giants games, and with both talented rivals struggling heading into this 4-game series in San Francisco and the weather to possibly play some part, backing the 'Under' 8 with Hyun Jin-Ryu and Matt Cain scheduled to get the pill Monday at AT&T Park seems like the best approach.

Odds Overview

Los Angeles Dodgers at San Francisco Giants (MLB, Time Warner, SNLA, NSBA, DTV 696-1, 10:15 p.m. ET): The Giants (6-13) and RHP Matt Cain welcome their archrivals, the Dodgers (9-10) and LHP Hyun Jin-Ryu, to AT&T Stadium in San Francisco on Monday night for Game 1 of their 4-game NL West series. Sportsbooks have the visiting Dodgers -132 favorites (BetDSI), the Total 8 -110 (BetDSI) with the Run Line market seeing Los Angeles -1½ +140 with San Francisco +1½ -160 ( The Dodgers are scheduled to send ace Clayton Kershaw to the hill Tuesday against SF’s Ty Blach (10:15 p.m. ET) in Game 2, Alex Wood against Johnny Cueto in Game 3 Wednesday (10:15 p.m. ET), with Kenta Maeda scheduled to face Matt Moore in the series finale Thursday (3:45 p.m. ET).

Los Angeles Dodgers

The Dodgers (13/1 to win World Series, Heritage) have been slumping lately, going from a 6-5 record to 9-10, L5 of 7 -- 4 of 6 to Arizona, which LA rallied to beat on Sunday, 6-2 at Chase Field in an NL West series which still saw the Snakes outscore Los Doyers 26-16 overall. After losing Game 1, 13-5, and Game 2, 11-5 to fall under .500, Dodgers Manager Dave Roberts put out a starting Game 3 Lineup of: CF J Pederson, SS Seager, 3B Turner, 1B Gonzalez, C Grandal, LF Toles, RF Puig, 2B Utley with veteran RHP Brandon McCarthy getting the start. Trailing 2-0, LA  scored 6 in the Top of the 5th with a Grandal HR the big blast (LAD -151, 9u -130, 5Dimes). Pederson left with an injury.

The Dodgers (+500 to win NL, Bovada) are 9-4 L13 Mondays and 7-1 L8 Ryu Starts vs. Teams with Losing Records but 0-6 L6 Ryu Starts as well as 0-6 his L6 Starts on Grass. The 'Under' is 5-0 in Ryu’s L5 Starts, 16-5-2 his L23 Road Starts, and 19-6-3 L28 vs. Teams with Winning Percentages Below .400.

San Francisco Giants

The Giants (33/1 to win World Series, BetDSI) have had a miserable start to the Regular Season and now have the worstrRecord in the NL (6-13) after getting blasted (and swept) in Denver by the Rockies, 8-0 at Coors Field in Game 3 Sunday (COL -108, 11½, 5Dimes). In the loss, SF manager Bruce Bochy had a Starting Lineup of: 3B Núñez, 1B Belt, RF Pence, C Posey, SS Crawford, C Hundley, 2B Panik, CF Hernández with RHP Jeff Samardzija (5.1 IR, 7 H, 7 ER) getting the start. Los slumping Gigantes fell to 3-9 on the Road.

The Trends show San Francisco (14/1 to win NL, Bovada) 37-18 L55 Home games vs. a LHP but 7-20 L27 Game 1 Starts by Cain, 9-25 L34 vs. Teams with Losing Records and 3-12 L15 in Frisco in that situation. The 'Under' is 6-1 L7 Giants Home games, 9-3 L12 Giants overall while the 'Over' is 4-0 L4 Cain Starts at AT&T vs. Teams with Losing Records and 10-3 his L13 vs. Teams with Losing Records.

San Francisco Weather, Series Side & Totals Trends

TWC forecast for San Francisco for Monday night calls for Mostly Cloudy skies, a Low of 53° with significant WNW Winds of 10-20 mph. The Giants are 5-1 the L6 in the series and have played well against LA in past years (16-5 L21 in SF), but this SF (1-5 L6 Cain Starts vs. LA) team is really scuffling, and like Los Angeles, had to travel Sunday night. With that reality and the Winds in mind along with the 'Under' being 6-2-1 L9 Cain Home Starts against the Dodgers, 9-3 L12 SF overall, 13-6 L19 meetings in The City By The Bay along with the fact Cain’s had two straight nice outings—allowing 2 Runs in 12 Innings -- backing the 'Under' is the recommended MLB Pick.
