Seattle shoots for a sweep of the Tribe in Cleveland Thursday afternoon. Which of these teams might get its offense going enough to produce a victory & where is the value heading on the MLB odds?

Mariners-Indians Thursday Betting Odds
As of early Thursday morning the best price on the MLB odds board we could find on Cleveland (27-31) and Shaun Marcum was the -108 offered at Heritage, while Seattle (27-32) and lefty JA Happ could be found getting +101 at GT Bets. And the total on today's game sat at 8.5 runs.

The Situation
Seattle has taken the first two games of this series, by scores of 3-2 and 9-3. So these teams have split six meetings so far this season, with the totals also splitting 3-3.

The Mariners have played six UNDERS in their last seven games, while Cleveland has played five UNDERS in its last eight contests, mainly because both teams are having trouble scoring as of late; prior to Wednesday's outburst Seattle had been held to three runs or less 13 games in row, while the Indians have been held to three runs or less in seven of their last eight games.

On the injury front Seattle slugger Nelson Cruz (.326, 18 HR) sat out Wednesday's game with a sore back, and is questionable for today.

Thursday's Starting Pitchers
In four starts so far for his new team Marcum (2-1, 5.19) has held opponents to three runs or less three times. Last time out he gave up three runs in 6 1/3 innings against Baltimore, and just before that he held these Mariners to two runs through 5 1/3 innings. Cleveland has split his four starts so far.

Happ (3-1, 3.31) just threw seven scoreless innings against Tampa Bay, and over his last three starts he's allowed five runs through 18 innings. On the season Happ has allowed 67 hits through 65 1/3 innings, with 14 walks and 49 strikeouts; Seattle is 6-5 in Happ's starts, with the totals going 6-5.

Over his last two starts against Cleveland, one last year when he was with Toronto and two weeks ago, Happ gave up a total of three runs through 11 innings. His teams split those two games.

With most handicapping factors equaling out we like the Mariners to complete the sweep today. Also, both teams are having trouble scoring, so we're thinking UNDER.
