The Indians travel to Toronto & enters this series red hot with a 5-game winning streak, Toronto is coming off a sweep of their own and is priced as a massive home favorite.

The Cleveland Indians travel to Toronto for the first game of an early week set. Game time is 7:05 ET. Cleveland enters red hot with a 5-game winning streak, but has virtually no shot at the playoffs with a 63-66 record. Toronto sits atop the AL East with a 74-56 record, 1 ½ games clear of NYY. The combination of the big Toronto bats, the pitching of Price and their run line record for the YTD makes this a must play.

Cleveland is Streaking
Cleveland began the year 13-24. They have since been grinding to a 50-42 record. That includes a 5-game winning streak which saw them sweep the LA Angels this weekend by combined scores of 20-6. One of the highlights for the season for the Tribe has been a 34-32 record, one of only 4 AL teams to be greater than .500 on the road. Salazar has been a pleasant surprise for Cleveland. That has been especially true on the road, where he has a 1.07 road WHIP. In addition, in 2 starts against Toronto this year, Salazar has posted a 2.70 ERA. But, his most recent start was postponed by a viral infection. That followed a start in which he lasted only 4 2/3 IP, allowing 5 runs to NYY in a 6-2 Cleveland loss. Simply we cannot be sure he is close to 100%, as he takes the mound tonight against the red hot bats of the Blue Jays.  MLB odds seem to agree with that as the Indians are such massive +195 underdogs.

Toronto & Price Have High Success vs. Tribe
Toronto just completed a weekend sweep of their own in which they battered Detroit by a combined score of 29-6. The Blue Jays pounded out 38 hits in the process. That pushes the recent record to 27-8, 8-1 recently. Their home mark has now ballooned to 43-23. With a .788 batting OPS, they are hitting more than 30 percentage points better than the No. 2 ranked Tigers. Most surprising for Toronto has been a No. 3 ranked bullpen with a .634 pitching OPS. But, they may not need the relief corps this evening with David Price on the mound. Since being traded from Detroit to Toronto, Price has gone 4-0 with a 1.98 ERA in 5 starts. In both his time with Toronto and as a visiting pitcher, Price is 8-0 from this mound in 11 starts. A strong history against Cleveland seals the deal! Twelve starts have seen Price post a 9-1 record with a 2.04 ERA. This includes a trio of starts this year, in which he has twirled a 0.42 ERA.

Run line players take note, 61 of 74 Toronto victories (82%, the best in baseball) have come by 2 or more runs. Best advice with your MLB pick for today is to lay the runs with the best hitting team in baseball behind their ace.
