The Colorado Rockies look to come into AT&T Park, but this afternoon's game won't be as easy as Tim Lincecum looks to bounce back. See who we like as our betting pick.

First pitch is set for 4:05 p.m. ET this afternoon at AT&T Ballpark in San Francisco California. As always, except for blackouts, this game can be seen on the MLB Network. The Rockies have actually proven that they can do some damage via the long ball away from home after an 8-6 win over Tim Hudson. Will we see a repeat performance or was this a one time occurrence?

Post Season Powerhouse
According to 5 Dimes Sportsbook, the Giants are a -139 betting favorite and the total for the game is listed at 7.5 runs. This is a fairly accurate assessment as the Giants haven't been as good as they were last season. What we have to remember about San Francisco is that they come on strong during the last month or two of the season and position themselves for a post-season spot in which they excel.

"Home" Boys
Where the Rockies are concerned, they are entertaining offensively at Coors Field, but even with talented players such as Nolan Arenado (22 HR, 64 RBI, .290), Charlie Blackmon (9 HR, 31 RBI, 20 SB, .277 BA), and Troy Tulowitzki ( 8 HR, 40 RBI, .317 BA), they're not a post-season team as all of their damage is done at Coors Field in the high altitude. That said, Tulo's numbers and Blackmon's power numbers are down a bit. Look for these players to pick up the pace as they set the tone for the Rockies for the rest of the season.

Missing Ingredient
When Cargo (Carlos Gonzalez) plays well, you saw yesterday that the Rockies can beat a team such as the Giants. Cargo has had a major dropoff in production the past couple of season and we don't know why.

At least for yesterday, he was a perfect 5 for 5 with a double, a triple, and an RBI. Actually, Gonzalez is in a good situation as he plays well against the Giants. He's batting .351 against San Francisco in 37 at-bats with 1 HR and 3 RBI. I look for Cargo to really turn it on in the 2nd half of the season. This is a player with plenty of major league experience, but he's a better player than his numbers indicate.

"The X-Factor"
He also gets the luxury of facing Giants starter, Tim Lincecum, who is having a good season at 7-4 with a 3.86 ERA, but is coming off of his worst outing of the season as he allowed 5 runs and 7 hits in 1 1/3 innings to the Los Angeles Dodgers. It was one of Lincecum's worst performances in his career. Lincecum is the wild card in this game as you don't know what you'll get.

Much Needed Additions
They don't contain a lot of power, but the 1-2 punch in this San Francisco lineup have really played well this season and set up players like Buster Posey and Brandon Belt quite well.

Nori Aoki (2 HR, 19 RBI, 12 SB, .317) has just dominated in a Giants uniform with his slap hitting and speed; and Joe Panik (6 HR, 30 RBI, .316 BA), has given the opposition a reason to "panic" as he has reached base safely in 38.6% of his at-bats. These two additions will come in handy during the playoff run and Buster Posey isn't a superstar, but is "super-reliable". The question in this game is will Lincecum bounce back from a terrible performance? Take the Giants with your MLB picks.
