The New York Yankees have won six in a row and look to finish off the sweep against the Boston Red Sox at home on Sunday Night Baseball. Here are our Red Sox-Yankees picks.

The Yankees have found their groove again with six straight wins in September. They’ve won the first three against the Red Sox and look to finish off the four-game sweep at home Sunday.

There is some rain in the forecast, so the game may be delayed, but they should look to play through it if they can this late in the season.

Here are my MLB picks and predictions for Sunday’s game between the Red Sox and Yankees (odds via BetPARX, DraftKings Sportsbook, and Foxbet; pick confidence based on a 1-to-5-star scale).

Red Sox vs. Yankees Game Info

Date/Time: Sunday, Sept. 25, 7:08 p.m. ET
TV: ESPN
Location: Yankee Stadium, Bronx, NY
Weather: 63 degrees, 90% chance of precipitation, 7-mph winds

Red Sox vs. Yankees Odds Analysis

The Yankees range from -165 (DraftKings) to -175 (Unibet) after opening at -182. In turn, the Red Sox opened at +150 and you can still get them at +148 (BetRivers).

The total opened at 7.5 but is up to 8 and 8.5 across the board.

Red Sox vs. Yankees Projected Pitchers

Brayan Bello (2-6, 4.75 ERA, 1.73 WHIP) vs. Nestor Cortes Jr. (10-4, 2.67 ERA, 0.97 WHIP)

Bello has settled down a bit recently after a rough start. He’s allowed three earned runs or less in each of his last six starts after giving up a total of 14 earned runs in his first three starts (12 innings). Still, the Red Sox are just 2-7 in Bello’s starts.

Cortes has been a pleasant surprise for the Yankees. He's allowed more than three earned runs just three times this season, all coming back in June and July. He is 3-1 with 15 earned runs in 49 1/3 innings (2.74 ERA and 0.89 WHIP) in the second half. New York is 17-9 in Cortes’ starts (10-3 at home).

Red Sox vs. Yankees Picks

  • Moneyline: Yankees (-165 via DraftKings)
  • Total: Over 8 (+100 via Foxbet)
  • Prop bet: Aaron Judge to hit a home run (+215 via BetPARX)

Red Sox vs. Yankees ML Pick

Yankees (-165) ★★★★★

The Yankees took the first three games of this series, and I don’t see why they can’t complete the sweep. They’ve scored five runs or more in each of their last six games, including nine or more in three of those contests.

On the pitching front, Cortes has given the Yankees a chance to win every game he’s started, and Bello took the loss last week against the Yankees.

Finally, the Yankees are 12-6 against Boston this season and 7-2 at home. New York is the play on Sunday.

Red Sox vs. Yankees O/U Pick

Over 8 (+100) ★★★★

The Yankees have been rather dominant against the Red Sox this season, and so has the Over in their meetings. The over has the same record as the Yankees at 12-6 overall and 7-2 at Yankee Stadium.

Both teams are playing to the Over recently, as well. It’s hit in six straight Yankees games as their offense has come alive.

Red Sox vs. Yankees Prop Pick

Judge to hit a home run (+215) ★★★

BetPARX has been boosting Judge to homer to +350 in every September game, but this is still a strong bet at +215 if that boost isn’t available to you.

Judge is 1-for-2 against Bello this season as he chases down Roger Maris. He hasn’t hit a home run in four games, which is a long drought for him, but the odds are at least somewhat in our favor.

He has a home run in 25 of 76 home games (implied odds of +204), including 10 of his last 30 at Yankee Stadium.
