The Seattle Mariners bounced back against the Texas Rangers following a rough series against the Houston Astros. The Mariners are poised for another victory against their AL West counterparts on Tuesday night in Seattle. Check out our Rangers-Mariners picks.

Seattle is one of the hottest teams in baseball. It won 14 straight games - including four against the Rangers - heading into the All-Star break. Houston humbled the Mariners, but they got back on track Monday against Texas. Seattle is 23-6 in its last 29 games.

Meanwhile, the Rangers haven’t been as hot. Texas is well below .500 (43-52) overall and is in a 2-7 rut in the last nine games.

Seattle has owned this matchup recently with a 30-10 record over the last three seasons, including 18-3 in Seattle.

Here are my MLB picks and predictions for Tuesday’s game between the Rangers and Mariners (odds via DraftKings Sportsbook and Unibet; pick confidence based on a 1-to-5-star scale).

Rangers vs. Mariners Odds Analysis

The Mariners are once again home favorites after Monday's win. Seattle opened at -165 and is now down to -155 at DraftKings despite receiving most of the tickets and handle. In turn, the Rangers are +138 at Unibet after opening at +140.

The total is at an even 8 across the board after opening at 7.5. Both the Over and Under are -110 at DraftKings.

Rangers vs. Mariners Projected Pitchers

Dane Dunning (1-6, 4.42 ERA, 1.41 WHIP) vs. George Kirby (2-3, 3.78 ERA, 1.24 WHIP)

Dunning has a respectable 4.42 ERA on the season, but the Rangers are just 4-14 in his starts. The Rangers have yet to win a Dunning start on the road, where the hurler has a 5.52 ERA and 1.69 WHIP.

Kirby has been largely consistent for the Mariners with a few outliers. Since May 31, he’s allowed two earned runs or fewer in six of eight starts. He allowed three runs in five innings to the Boston Red Sox on June 11, and the Baltimore Orioles hit four home runs for seven earned runs in just four innings against him on June 27.

Rangers vs. Mariners ML Pick

Mariners (-155)

Seattle is the better team, has the better pitcher on the mound, and is at home. The Mariners are 25-23 at home and have beaten the teams they’re supposed to, with a 29-19 record against clubs with a losing record. On the other hand, the Rangers are 22-26 on the road and 17-22 against teams with a winning record.

The Rangers’ 0-9 record in Dunning’s road starts isn’t all the pitcher’s fault, but that combined with Seattle’s hot streak - and dominance against Texas recently - makes me confident that the Mariners will keep that trend going Tuesday.

Rangers vs. Mariners O/U Pick

Under 8 (-110)

Both pitchers are capable of putting together strong starts. In fact, the Under is 9-6-3 in Dunning’s 18 starts, including 5-3 in his last eight. Kirby had a string of Over games earlier in the season but has since settled down with two earned runs or fewer in four of his last five starts.

These teams are also trending to the Under this season. Only four of their 11 matchups have gone Over the total, including just one of four in Seattle. T-Mobile Park should yield another Under tonight.

Rangers vs. Mariners Prop Bet

Ty France Over 1.5 Total Bases (+125)

Mariners first baseman Ty France is enjoying a breakout season that included his first All-Star Game. He picked up six total bases on Monday night, making it five straight games against the Rangers with at least two total bases.

Overall, France has two-plus total bases in seven of his last eight games and eight of his last 11. He’s around the 50% mark on the season (40 of 83; 21 of 40 at home), giving great value at +125.
