Before tackling these MLB odds, ask yourself, could Texas remain hot after winning eight of their previous ten games or will Seattle win the rubber match of this three game series?

AL West Series Finale at Safeco Field
A couple of AL West rivals will finalize their three game series on Sunday when Texas takes on Seattle. The first pitch at Safeco Field in Seattle is slated for 4:10 PM ET. These teams have split the first two games of this series, and Seattle has gone 6-2 versus Texas in 2015. A pair of right-handed starting pitchers will square off on Sunday with Colby Lewis of Texas opposing Felix Hernandez of Seattle.

“King Felix” in a Rut
The usually ultra reliable Felix Hernandez has been shaky during his previous two starts. During those outings versus Colorado and Arizona, the Mariners ace had a large 7.43 ERA. The most alarming numbers to me in those two appearances was 23 hits allowed in 13 1/3 innings. Since his strikeout to walk ratio was still a very good 8:1, I believe the recent issues Hernandez has endured are more to do with pitch location rather than velocity. Seattle was expected to be a player in 2015 regarding the American League playoff picture. However, a terrible 23-32 home record has been a major deterrent in their quest to do so.

Road Warriors
The Texas Rangers have gone a stellar 32-25 (.561) on the road in 2015. If they can only translate the success in away games to their home ballpark, the pursuit of an American League wild card berth would certainly become a bit easier. Unfortunately, Texas has gone a disappointing 23-29 during home games this season. In any event, the Rangers have gone a very good 8-2 in their last ten overall, averaging 6.1 runs and 11.1 hits per game during that stretch. Texas put up 11 runs on Saturday, and they’ve gone a perfect 9-0 on the road this year after scoring 9 or more in their previous game. Colby Lewis has gone 4-0 in his last four team starts and compiled a stellar 1.00 WHIP in those outings.

Money Line Betting System
Seattle is averaging just 3.7 runs per game this season.

The Texas bullpen has a lofty 4.59 ERA in 2015.

Texas is coming off an 11-3 win at Seattle on Saturday.

According to the MLB betting odds at Bookmaker, Texas is a +151 money line road underdog today.

Any money line road underdog of +105 to +155 (Texas), possessing a bullpen ERA of 4.50 or more, facing an opponent (Seattle) that averages 4.2 runs or less per game, and is coming off a loss by 4 runs or more, resulted in that road underdog going 44-27 (62%) since 1997. That also includes a superb 10-3 (76.9%) since 2013.
