The All Star Game has come and gone as we came away with a win. Now it's time to focus on some of the future bets in which the bettor can make some coin; one of them being the NL Cy Young Award Winner for this season. Let's take a look.

Clayton Kershaw +300
Madison Bumgarner +350
Johnny Cueto +350
Stephen Strasburg +450
Jake Arrieta +700
Jose Fernandez +700

Major Value
Even though he's on the best team in baseball in the Chicago Cubs, Jake Arrieta's price has taken a bit of tumble as he's looked awful his last 3 games and is still a remarkable 12-4 with a 2.68 ERA. Arrieta is still projected to win 22 games this season. We have to remember that Arrieta is on a high run producing team that would give him run support, he's the reigning NL Cy Young Award Winner, and where are you going to find a pitcher with these credentials at +700 MLB odds? If Arrieta has a shutout or 1 run game coming out of the All-Star Break, those +700 odds at sportsbooks could look like a steal.

Pure Domination
When talking about pure domination, we're talking about the favorite MLB pick to win this award in Clayton Kershaw. This is a pitcher with such pinpoint control that he's allowed just 9 walks in 121 innings! He leads the Major Leagues in basically every statistical category except for wins and losses as he's 11-2 with a 1.79 ERA. This all involves the team that a pitcher is on and the run support that he get's. When you look at ERA, hits allowed, and all of the major categories, Kershaw is top dog and will be difficult to beat.

If the voters look at wins and losses, they're going to gravitate towards Johnny Cueto at 13-1, but Cueto just proved in the All Star Game, that he's not an American League pitcher. Along with Cueto and right there in the voting will be Madison Bumgarner. If Kershaw slips up, Bumgarner could take down the award as he's on the division leading, San Francisco Giants and his numbers are right there where ERA is concerned as he's 10-4 with a 1.94 ERA.

Stephen Strasburg- a.k.a "Mr. Perfect"
At +450, Strasburg is at fantastic odds, being that he hasn't lost a single game this season and he's on a divsion leader in the National League East Division leading Washington Nationals.

For the season, Strasburg is 12-0 with a 2.62 ERA. If it came down to today, that undefeated record would be difficult to overlook and he could give Kershaw a run for his money. I think in order for Stephen Strasburg to win this award, he can't allow more than a loss or two for the rest of the season as all of the numbers clearly point to Clayton Kershaw, who isn't on the caliber of team as some of these other pitchers are.

Free MLB Pick: Clayton Kershaw +300 (He's the best pitcher and most clutch pitcher in baseball and I don't see him slowing down for a Steven Strasburg to steal the award)
