Today, we have a couple of matchups in which we think can benefit the bettor. Here are your winning MLB picks of the day for Saturday.

Writer's Note
I wanted to add that weather has been a major influence on the season thus far. I don't recall a first month to a season with so much continuous precipitation and chilly weather. Forecasts have certain areas drying out this week and we could possibly be seeing more long balls.

Milwaukee Brewers vs. Cincinnati Reds

Reds Bats Have Been Hot
Although the Reds only carry 13-17 record for the season and not much was expected from them, they've formed a small 3 game winning streak and throughout this time, the offense has been clicking and the baseball has been leaving the ball park. In the beginning of their streak it was Brandon Phillips and Jay Bruce going deep. Now, Joey Votto, who has been struggling, has joined the club.

In their last 3 games, Cincinnati has been getting out to big, early leads and have outscored their opponents 21-10.

I don't know how long that this will continue for, but it's a definite confident booster as they play a weak Milwaukee Brewers (11-18) club, which has lost their last 3 games. What's even better is that odds makers still take into account that Cincy is a below .500 club and the odds are more favorable if we were to make them our betting pick as they appear to be the only pick in this game.

Brandon Phillips
Brandon Phillips has always been a reliable Major Leaguer. Thus far this season, he's hitting .292 with 4 HR and 14 RBI.  All of Phillips' production has come at home where he has 4 HR, 11 RBI, and a .339 BA.  Amazingly, he's hit a home run in each of his last 3 games, totaling 3 HR and 7 RBI. Phillips will definitely be someone in Cincinnati's lineup that starter, Jimmy Nelson, should pitch around. The Reds offense must put Phillips in RBI position as he's simply unstoppable.

Look for the Reds momentum to continue and at -112 odds, this is a choice that's too good to pass up.

Minnesota Twins vs. Chicago White Sox

Chris Sale vs. the Twinkies
It doesn't get much better than this if you're a Chicago White Sox fan as the Sox have been having an outstanding season at 20-10 and are facing a bottom feeder in the 8-21 Minnesota Twins.  The city of Chicago has two of the best baseball teams in the league in the Cubs and White Sox.

Smooth Sailing
At 6-0 with a 1.66 ERA, Chris Sale is the early leader for the AL Cy Young Award. Sale is as strikeout machine and has allowed opposing hitters to a mere .171 batting average. That's as good as it get's.

Although Sale is good for 100 plus pitches per game, the only concern that a bettor would have with backing him is an early exit due to a high pitch count. Occasionally, pitchers that are big-time strike out artists, can't finish out games and Chicago wants Sale in the game as long as possible without causing injury.

Offensively, Melky Cabrera (.315), Adam Eaton (.298), and Brett Lawrie (.288) have all been carrying the White Sox with high on base percentages. Todd Frazier has managed to hit the long ball (7 HR), but is struggling hitting American League pitching with just a .191 batting average. Chicago needs this to change as the season progresses. For this game, Chicago has all of the tools to beat a beaten Milwaukee Brewers club.
