Profit From Two Favorites With These MLB Picks Of The Day

It's time to strike while the iron is hot as I've won 9 out of my last 10 games and there's some real lopsided pitching matchups to expose on today's slate of MLB betting. It's time for some winning!

New York Yankees vs. Oakland Athletics

Yankees Confidence Level Has Risen
When a team like the Yankees ,who have been taken a beating all season long and start to come on strong, my motto is to ride them as the betting odds will be favorable.

New York is coming off of a comeback win over the Oakland Athletics as C.C. Sabathia looked good for a second straight outing and the Yankees ran away with the game, 8-3. Games against a weak Oakland offense is where the Yankees can pick up ground in the division and this is where we keep riding them until they lose as they really are the better squad.

Tanaka Time
To make things even more appealing, you get a Masahiro Tanaka (1-0, 3.51 ERA) vs.Sean Manaea (1-1, 7.91 ERA) matchup. Not only is Tanaka the superior pitcher, Manaea has gotten beaten up in the month of May, allowing 13 runs and 21 hits in 14 1/3 innings. Tanaka also has the luxury of being backed by the best bullpen in baseball with Chapman, Miller, and Betances. If the pitch count for Tanaka is high or Tanaka feels any kind of "heat", the Yankees are stacked from possibly the 6th inning on and no other team, even the New York Mets, can lay claim to that statement.

Carlos Beltran
He picked up his 400th home run and now it's time to chase some more milestones. Beltran has really started to play like the Beltran of old as he smacked 3 doubles in last night's game and I can see him being a factor tonight along with Bret Gardner and Jacoby Ellsbury, who also has his batting average up to .285. The A's pitching is weak and Carlos Beltran is a shark that see's blood.

As for the A's, they have a phantom or hollow record at 19-24 as they're not as good as their record indicates. That said, Josh Reddick (5 HR, 18 RBI, .322 BA, .394 OBP%) is a player to look out for and for the most part, opposing pitchers have been avoiding him when he's hot.

Chicago Cubs vs. San Francisco Giants

Overmatched
The Chicago Cubs, who are expected to win the World Series have come out of the gates fast at 29-11 and have found a ton of success on the road at 15-5. They have a combination of oustanding pitching and very solid hitting with players such as Kris Bryant and Anthony Rizzo. The Cubs play the San Francisco Giants on the road in the 2nd game of a 3 game series. Friday, the Cubs trounced the 25-19 Giants, 8-1. The Giants are far from being pushovers, but they're only a .500 team at home and this pitching matchup is a definite key to the game.

Matt Cain
I could mention the hot hitting of Hunter Pence, but instead, I'm going to focus on the Giants weak point and that's their starter, Matt Cain. While Jon Lester possesses a 1.87 ERA, Matt Cain has gotten blasted this season and is still looking for his first win of the season. Thus far, Cain is 0-5 with a 5.87 ERA.

Another reason for Cain's lack of success is that the Giants offense hasn't been provided him with run support. In Cain's last two starts, he actually showed signs of life, throwing 15 inning and allowing just 3 runs. In return, he was 0-1. Before these starts, he was just atrocious. What does a pitcher have to do to win a game? Now he must face the best team in the majors and are a well balanced overall squad. I'm leaning towards Cain keeping the Giants in the game, but I'm also leaning towards the Cubbies picking up their 20th win of the season.
