It's the last day of the month and do you know what that means? The last day of July to take advantage of the books as they give the bettor the edge with player prop betting. Let's do this!

Nationals vs. Mets
Total Strikeouts For Matt Harvey
Over 6.5 -120
Under 6.5 -120
Harvey faces a tough Washington Nationals team, but he has to feel good about the acquisitions that the Mets got to support him offensively. This is speculation, but I see Harvey having a big game, facing guys like Ian Desmond that strike out a lot. It's difficult to believe, but Harvey has had less than 6 strikeouts in 8 of his last 9 games. Temptation wants me to say over, but the history is undeniable and he needs to prove himself.

MLB Pick- Under 6.5 -120

Will Lucas Duda Record an RBI? Yes +130... No -175
I have been very low on Duda for this entire season because he hasn't lived up to expectations. However, in his last 3 games, he has 4 home runs and 5 RBI's and that has grabbed my attention. Particularly because he had a 3 home run game against the San Diego Padres.

This has never been done by a Mets player at home except for Kirk Neuwenheis. Neuwenheis did it a few weeks earlier. With Duda, you can't go off of trends, you go off of his level of confidence at that moment because the talent is there. I expect Duda to come through for the Mets and Matt Harvey. Let's make a small bet against and take the price here.

MLB Pick- Yes +130

Rockies vs. Cardinals
Will Kolten Wong Score a Run? Yes -110... No -150
Being near the top of the lineup on a top level Cardinals team has benefited Wong's game and in return, he's come through for them in clutch situations and his speed has allowed him to score and steal bases.

He's scored a run in 3 out of his last 5 games. There's definitely no guarantee as runs are difficult to come by for every Major League team. Kyle Kendrick and the Rockies defense don't scare me as long as they're not at Coors Field, but I have to lean towards the no option with the MLB odds for this particular prop.

MLB Pick- No -150

Total Strikeouts For Michael Wacha
Over 5.5 -135
Under 5.5 -105
The Rockies overall team are lost puppies when they're not at Coors Field and they're playing the National League Central Division leading St. Louis Cardinals. Wacha is a middle of the road type of pitcher that will give 5 to 6 strikeouts each and every game. He's capable of striking out more, especially against the Rockies who no longer have Troy Tulowitzki, but that half run (the hook), puts the over in jeopardy. The last time Wacha faced this club, he struck out 10 batters. I'm siding with the over for this prop. The Rockies are bottom-feeders.

MLB Pick- Over 5.5 -135 at Bovada
