Last night's series opener was postponed, so we'll have a doubleheader on the cards today. Let's break down the MLB odds for the nightcap that features Scherzer & Estrada as the starting pitchers.

Odds Overview
It's cut and dry when it comes to the MLB betting odds. Whenever Max Scherzer takes the bump, we know his team is going to almost certainly be the favorite, and that's certainly the case this evening.

So just how bad is the damage? You're going to have to cough up a pretty penny to back the Nationals on the moneyline, as they're listed at above -200 to get the win. The Blue Jays are available at right around +190, while the total can currently be found at seven runs.

Washington Nationals (Scherzer)
It's always tricky with doubleheaders, as you never know who's going to be sitting in the nightcap or vice versa. Make sure you check out the starting lineups to ensure all of Washington's heavy hitters are indeed playing, with Bryce Harper of course being the name you need to look out for the most.

What we do know is that Scherzer will take the bump, and that in and of itself gives Washington a major advantage heading into tonight. The right-hander has been nothing short of incredible in his first season in the nation's capital, going 6-3 with a 1.51 ERA and 0.88 WHIP through 10 starts. He's sporting an insane 85:10 K:BB ratio and has only surrendered three home runs over 71 and 2/3 innings of work, showcasing just how dominant he's been so far in 2015.

Having dominated Toronto over the years as well, this seems to be as good of a spot as any for Scherzer to continue pitching lights out. Oh, did we mention the 30-year-old righty has gone 3-2 with a 2.15 ERA in five home assignments this season? Yeah, he's been pretty good.

Toronto Blue Jays (Estrada)
The Blue Jays will look to get things rolling with a win earlier in the day, though they can't be all that confident considering the way R.A. Dickey has been pitching this season. He's been terrible. Nonetheless, those Blue Jays bats are always capable of going off, and Jordan Zimmermann hasn't exactly been dominant thus far.

Following the afternoon game, Marco Estrada will take the mound for Toronto. He's gone 1-3 with a 3.89 ERA and 1.22 WHIP, which are pretty solid numbers in the grand scheme of things. However, Estrada is known for coughing up homers at an alarming rate, and now he has to take on one of the most dangerous hitters in the majors in Harper.

Offense hasn't been much of an issue for Toronto this season, as they're actually ranked first in the MLB in runs scored, while also ranking highly in the other major categories like batting average, on-base percentage and slugging. It's going to be fascinating to see that offense clash with a dominant hurler like Scherzer this evening.

MLB Pick
When push comes to shove, we're going to roll with Scherzer and back the Nationals with our MLB picks. It's really that simple.

There's a reason Washington is so heavily favored in this spot - Scherzer has been the most dominant pitcher in all of baseball this season, and yes that includes both Clayton Kershaw and Felix Hernandez (who was beaten up badly yesterday). He's been everything the Nationals could have hoped for and more, and we expect him to showcase his talent once more against the Blue Jays tonight.

On the other side, we expect Harper and company to get after Estrada, who is one of the most homer-prone pitchers out there. Don't be afraid to add Washington on the run-line as your MLB pick in this situation.
