After perusing Wednesday's MLB betting odds, we have locked in on these pair of totals for our top plays of the night. Let’s analyze these matchups and cash in our MLB picks this evening.

7:05 PM EDT Yankees (15-11-1 O/U) vs. Blue Jays (16-11-1 O/U)
The Yankees and Blue Jays wrap up a three-game set tonight with the rubber game featuring New York's C.C. Sabathia (5.40 ERA, 1.39 WHIP) opposed by Toronto's Mark Buehrle (6.75 ERA, 1.93 WHIP). These are two veteran pitchers who have seen better days with one-time ace Sabathia currently winless this season while Buehrle's struggles in the opening month are a microcosm for his futile pursuit of success against the Yankees throughout his career. Buehrle enters tonight's contest with a 1-14 record and a 6.21 ERA in 21 career starts versus the Pinstripers.

Last night the Yankees avenged a 3-1 Game 1 loss to take the middle game 6-3 rewarding those who chose to go 'over' 8 runs last night in their MLB picks. While I realize that the Yankees have played 'under' the posted MLB Odds total in six of their last seven games they are currently ranked 4th in the league in runs scored and will be meeting the team that holds the top spot tonight in the Toronto Blue Jays. Between the two clubs they have plated a combined total of 281 runs for an average of 5.1 runs per game. Couple these potent offenses with a pair of limping old dogs in Sabathia and Buehrle and it looks to me like there will be plenty of crooked numbers on the scoreboard tonight.

MLB Pick: Play 'over' 8 ½ (-105) at Youwager

8:10 PM EDT Tigers (14-13 O/U) vs. White Sox (9-13-1 O/U)
The White Sox claimed a 5-2 victory in the opening game of this three-game series with the Tigers last night. The game went under the MLB odds total of 8 runs with a solid pitching effort from Jeff Samardzija ending the White Sox five-game slide. Tonight Chicago will hand the ball to Chris Sale (5.32 ERA, 1.45 WHIP) who was enjoying a solid season on the mound until the Twins rocked him for eight earned runs over just three innings of a career-worst outing in a 12-2 defeat.

Sale will try to put that aberration behind him when he faces the Tigers tonight, a team whom he has recorded a 5-5 record and a 2.92 ERA in his 12 career starts. However, his fortunes recently against Detroit have been much more impressive than his overall record suggests. In his last seven starts when facing the Motor City Cats he has compiled a brilliant 4-1 record with a 1.78 ERA. If his start tonight resembles his recent efforts then he will give his team an excellent chance to win their second consecutive game in what could be a low scoring affair.

The Tigers offense has been quieted recently scoring only two runs or less in four of their last five outings. Detroit will send Alfredo Simon (3.13 ERA, 1.17 WHIP) to the hill who, like his counterpart Chris Sale, is coming off a disastrous start after a white hot start. Simon was blasted by the Royals in his last effort and failed to get out of the fifth inning before allowing six earned runs on nine hits in an 8-1 loss to Kansas City.

So tonight we have two pitchers both of whom jumped out terrific starts before getting knocked silly in their last start. Neither team is hitting the cover off the ball and when you couple that with two pitchers who should return to form it looks like a placing your MLB picks ‘under’ the MLB odds total tonight is the sharp side.

MLB Pick: Play ‘under’ 7 ½ (-105) at GTBets.com.
