The Baltimore Orioles possess one of the hottest lineups in baseball, which will prove to be the difference against the Texas Rangers Thursday night.

Let’s take a closer look at the MLB betting odds for this American League affair at Globe Life Park in Arlington, with the first pitch scheduled for 8:05 p.m. ET.

 Offensive explosion
Baltimore has scored 27 runs during its four-game winning streak, as it comes off a 6-5 victory over Texas Wednesday, while the OVER has cashed three times in that span.

The Orioles are getting tremendous production from outfielder Nelson Cruz, who is hitting .462 with nine home runs and 18 RBIs over his last 15 games.

MLB handicappers will find that the club is 16-13 versus teams with a losing record this season.

Troubles at home
Texas has dropped four of its last five games, with the pitching staff allowing 33 runs in defeat over that span.

The Rangers won their first four series at this ballpark, but they’ve gone 0-4-2 in their last five home series—leading directly to a dismal 13-15 overall record in that situation.

Third baseman Adrian Beltre is capable of leading a turnaround, considering he’s batting .380 with 13 round trippers in his last 22 games versus the Orioles.

Orioles starting pitcher Chris Tillman (5-2, 4.63 ERA) is coming off a 4-1 road victory over the Houston Astros, as he allowed just a single run and four hits over 6.2 innings of work.

The right-hander has compiled a 5-0 record and 5.51 ERA in eight outings away from Oriole Park, but he’s surrendered seven home runs in 47.1 combined frames.

Tillman has won three straight games in Arlington behind a solid 2.05 ERA.

Rangers starting pitcher Colby Lewis (4-4, 5.44 ERA) has alternated wins and losses over his last six efforts, as he comes off a 9-2 road defeat to the Washington Nationals—giving up six runs (five earned) and nine hits over 5.2 frames.

The right-hander is a forgettable 1-3 with a 7.52 ERA in four home appearances, with opposing hitters batting .393 against him.

In seven lifetime appearances (five starts) versus the Orioles, Lewis has gone 1-4 with a 5.97 ERA.

I’m going to recommend that readers back the Orioles as one of their MLB picks, as they’ve won 10 of Tillman’s last 12 starts versus AL West opponents.
