“The Road Warrior”
The Giants starter Madison Bumgarner has been terrific on the road this season, going 10-4 (+6.40 units) against the money, and has posted an excellent 1.72 ERA in those starts. He also enters tonight in superb form over his last 3-starts by posting a 1.50 ERA, a microscopic 0.58 WHIP, and struck out 24 whole walking just 1. The Giants southpaw has gone 5-3 against the money in his career versus the Cubs with a 2.36 ERA.

Cubs Hurler Struggles with Consistency
There have been times this season that it’s been easy to see why the Cubs organization was so high on Travis Wood. Unfortunately those times haven’t happened often enough in 2014, as the southpaw has been inconsistent to say the least. He’s managed to go 13-12 against the money despite an unimpressive 4.86 ERA and lofty 1.52 WHIP. He’s pitched very well against the Giants since the start of the 2011 campaign posting a super 1.62 ERA in 4-starts.

Giants Better on the Road than Home in 2014
The Giants have gone a very respectable 33-27 (.550) on the road this season, but have inexplicably faltered at home by going a disappointing 32-32. If they’re going to continue their winning ways on the road, they surely need to pick it up offensively. The Giants have scored a paltry 7-runs total in their last 5 away games, including suffering a 2-0 defeat at the hands of the Cubs during the opening game of this series.

Cubs Bats Have been Silent
The Cubs have scored a grand total of 29-runs over their last 12, and that equates to a meager 2.4 runs per game. They’ve seen just 2 of their last 13-games go over the total. On a positive note, the Cubs have gone 15-13 this season versus southpaw starters, compared to a miserable 40-57 versus right-handers. They also entered the 2nd game of this series versus the Giants riding a modest 3-game winning streak.

MLB Betting Super System
Any money line favorite of -125 to -175 that’s hitting .255 or less as a team, and their pitcher has walked 1 or less in each of his last 2-starts, versus a National League opponent that has a starting pitcher with an ERA of 4.20 to 5.20, has gone 45-11 (80.4%) over the past 5-seasons.
