Our MLB handicapping professional shares his top money line underdogs on Saturday’s card. Go inside to read this revealing betting article and discover why he likes these MLB picks.

Marlins (Phelps) vs Pirates (Kuhl) 7:05 PM ET
David Phelps has been impressive since being inserted into the Marlins starting rotation. The right-handed reliever had been a reliever all season up until that point. Injuries to Miami starters forced Phelps to assume his current role. Since that time, he’s made three starts and compiled a superb 1.84 ERA. Granted he’s only averaging 4.9 innings pitch per start, but that was the short term plan going into that transitional phase.

Current MLB betting odds at Youwager has Miami as a +115 money line underdog. The Marlins are an exceedingly profitable 15-6 this year as a road money line underdog of +100 to +150.

Chad Kuhn has exhibited superb form over his last three starts. However, he’s compiled a large 6.08 ERA and 1.88 WHIP at PNC Park since being called up from the minors.

The Pirates are a stellar 18-8 in 2016 when facing left-handed starting pitchers. That won’t be the case on Saturday, and they’re an uninspiring 44-49 against right-handed starters. Pittsburgh has collected some imposing offensive numbers of late. Nevertheless, their timely hitting has left much to be desired over that same time frame. As a matter of fact, Pittsburgh is averaging an alarming 10.8 men left on base through a course of its last six games.

Dodgers (Anderson) vs Reds (Finnegan) 7:10 PM ET
Brett Anderson will be making just his second start of the season. He’s surely hoping it will be far better one than his 2016 debut. That outing occurred last Sunday at home against Pittsburgh, and he allowed 5 home runs on 5 hits while surrendering a pair of homers in only 1.0 inning of work. After a hot run that enabled Los Angeles to take over first place in the NL West, they’ve gone a subpar 3-5 over its last eight games.

You may be quite surprised to know Cincinnati has gone a notable 20-12 (.625) since returning from the all-star break. The Reds are also a stirring 11-4 through their previous fifteen home games, and they enter today on a four-game win streak.

Brandon Finnegan will be on the mound for Cincinnati on Saturday, and he’s compiled a very good 2.70 ERA over his last four starts. Finnegan has faced the Dodgers once this season and turned in a dominant performance.  That specific start came at Dodger Stadium back on 5/23, and Finnegan allowed a mere 1 earned run on 5 hits in 8.0 innings of work.

Cincinnati hasn’t been any easy out for any team throughout the past five weeks. I like the betting value on the hefty money line home underdog for one of my Saturday MLB picks.
