The Angels just can't seem to get their act together, and now they're on the verge of losing a series to the Diamondbacks. Anaheim throws its ace today, but that might just provide Arizona backers with a nice price to bet.

Angels-Diamondbacks Thursday Betting Odds
In the early betting the best line we could find on Anaheim and CJ Wilson was the -125 offered at WagerWeb, while Arizona and Allen Webster could be found getting +120 at 5Dimes.

The Situation
Arizona has taken two of the first three games of this four-game, two-city series, including a 3-2 decision Wednesday night. The Diamondbacks (32-33) have won five of their last six games, while Anaheim (33-33) has lost nine of its last 14.

Thursday's Starters
Webster (1-0, 3.18) will be making his second start of this season for his new team. Last Saturday, in his season debut, Webster held the Giants to two runs through 5 2/3 innings of a 4-2 Arizona victory.

Last year, pitching for Boston, Webster started twice against Anaheim, allowing five runs and 11 hits through 12 2/3 innings. His Sox split those two games, and both games played UNDER.

Wilson (4-5, 3.60) just held Oakland scoreless on two hits through seven innings last Saturday, which was a welcome performance after he had given up 11 runs over his previous two starts. The Angels are only 2-4 in Wilson's last six outings.

This will be Wilson's first-ever start against Arizona.

Thursday's Batting Splits
The Diamondbacks rank sixth in the Majors this season against left-handed pitching with a .332 team OBP, while the Angels rank 25th against righties with a .300 team OBP.

Angels-Diamondbacks Free Picks
We give Wilson an edge in the pitching match-up, but Arizona owns an edge with the sticks. We believe the value MLB pick on today's line resides with the Snakes. Also, Arizona home games are 18-11 on the OVERS this season, but our guess is that's a trend that should begin reversing itself.

MLB Picks: Diamondbacks +116 and UNDER nine runs (+110) at 5Dimes
