The Orioles welcome the AL East leading Yankees to Camden Yards in a Memorial Day matinee that kicks off a three-game set between the two divisional rivals. Let's review the MLB odds and analyze this matchup so that we can keep padding our bankroll.

Hard Luck Loser

Jordan Montgomery (2-3, 4.30 ERA, 1.24 WHIP) will be starting for the Yankees in the first game of a three-game set that would be considered crucial if the season was not so young. The 24-year-old 6'6" native of Sumter, South Carolina has had a tough go of it recently which was highlighted by a loss to the Royals in his last outing that was ironically his best game of the season.

The Yankees have lost five of Montgomery's last six starts and before his last performance, the young southpaw had been roughed up in two consecutive starts where he allowed a combined nine earned runs on 12 hits in just over 11 innings of work. However, he did acquit himself nicely in his May 23rd start against Kansas City in which he held the Royals to one run on two hits in six-plus innings of work that went for naught as the Yankees bowed 6-2 in that contest.

And the Winner is...

The Orioles are 15-6 (+8.3 Units) against the Yankees over the last three seasons and took two of three from the Bombers earlier in the year at Camden Yards. Three weeks later the clubs met in the Bronx where the Yankees returned the favor and took two of three from Baltimore. The venue has returned to Baltimore where the O's have dominated New York over the last 21 games and in addition, have the better starter on the hill. Dylan Bundy (5-3, 2.92 ERA, 1.14 WHIP) has been impressive this season for the O's and if it was not for one poor outing against the Tigers, his stats would look even shinier than they do now. Bundy is averaging 6.4 strikeouts per nine innings and blanked the Yanks over 5.2 innings of work in his last start against New York back in September of 2016 which resulted in an 8-0 Baltimore victory.
