The Astros have been one of the best teams in MLB at covering the Run Line as home favorites this season. Can they do it against Baltimore this weekend? Here are our Orioles-Astros same-game parlay picks for Saturday.

Houston’s Alex Bregman has been riding a hot streak into Saturday’s game against the Orioles. He matches up with a unique splits advantage against Baltimore’s starter that should help propel the Astros to a win and our parlay to a major profit.

Here are my same-game parlay picks for Saturday’s matchup between the Orioles and Astros (odds via FanDuel Sportsbook).

Orioles vs. Astros Same Game Parlay Predictions

Astros -1.5 (+110)

When you’re featured as the home favorite as frequently as the Astros have been this season, it’s hard to put together a respectable cover rate with that type of volume. But despite their 58 games this season as a home favorite (tied for fourth in MLB) the Astros have the third-best cover percentage in the league on the Run Line as home favorites, going 31-27 under those circumstances on the year.

With a 3.45 ERA, Baltimore starter Dean Kremer has solid numbers on the season. But the Astros rank eighth in MLB against right-handed pitching. I believe their lineup is good enough to overcome a scenario in which I typically side with the pitcher — the Houston lineup has never faced Kremer.

Kremer’s WHIP of 1.29 on the year is in the danger zone facing Houston. I look for the Astros to take advantage of their base runners, scoring with runners in scoring position and leaving the Baltimore righty short of a quality start. Astros starter Jose Urquidy is on a run of 11 quality starts in his last 12 games. The pitching advantage and home-field advantage for Houston get this one done at plus-money odds at both DraftKings Sportsbook and FanDuel.

Kremer Over 3.5 Strikeouts (-108)

The Astros have one of the lowest rates in strikeouts per game across MLB this season but let’s not act like Dean Kremer has to do anything otherworldly here to clear this prop.

On the season, Kremer’s not even close to averaging a strikeout per inning pitched. However, he has successfully pitched into the fifth inning in four straight starts, managing at least four strikeouts in three of those. He’s cleared the benchmark for this prop in seven of his past 10 starts.

Two of his better strikeouts games over that stretch came on the road against good lineups in Toronto and Boston. FanDuel is not asking much of Kremer on this line; recent history suggests he has a solid chance of getting there.

DraftKings doesn’t permit Pitcher Strikeout O/Us in their same-game parlays, so it’s another round with FanDuel on Saturday.

Bregman 2+ Total Bases (+115)

For a right-hander, Kremer’s pitched to some surprising reverse splits on the season. He has neutralized lefty batters to the tune of a .618 OPS but has been burned by right-handed bats to a .824 OPS. That’s an advantage for this Astros lineup and Alex Bregman, in particular.

As a hitter, Bregman enjoys a similar reverse splits advantage against RHP, posting a .923 OPS against them compared to .702 against lefties this season. Bregman rides into this game hot, with an OPS north of 1.100 his past seven days. Riding Bregman’s splits advantage against Kremer to plus-money odds on this prop pushes our parlay into tantalizing territory.
