With a wide variety of MLB games on Wednesday's MLB slate, this should be fantastic opportunity to make a profit with our MLB Picks of the Day.

Kansas City Royals vs. New York Yankees

The Champs Are Desperate For a Win
The Kansas City Royals almost thought that they had pulled one out in a high scoring affair at Yankee Stadium, but when things are going bad, they seem to get worse in their 10-7 loss to the Bombers at Yankee Stadium.

Lorenzo Cain, who was a star on their championship team last season but struggling this year, managed 3 home runs and that still wasn't enough as Bret Gardner and Brian McCann both doubled with men on base in the 8th inning to break a 7-7 tie and once again, put an "L" in the loss column for Kansas City. For Kansas City, the one bright spot that can be taken from this game is the play Lorenzo Cain and they're hoping that it carries over to tonight's game.

A Change of Fortunes
A couple of weeks ago, the Yankees couldn't score a run. The announcers used to make a joke that they were saving Papa John's Pizza a lot of money as for every game the Yankees score 6 runs or more the fans would be given a pizza and that wasn't happening at all.

Ever since Alex Rodriguez went on the 15-day disabled list and C.C. Sabathia pitched his best outing in years, "the light bulb went on" so to speak, and guys are hitting and this has turned a bottom-feeding club into a team that's looking to reach .500. It seems like every game you see, Carlos Beltran is having a multiple hit game and Didi Gregorious is picking up bases clearing extra bases hits at a rapid pace.

Carlos Beltran
Carlos Beltran currently leads the Yankees with 6 HR and 14 RBI as this was a team that really started the season off slow. He's just 2 home runs away from his 400th home run and there are talks of hall of fame due to his sensational play in the post-season. Time will tell, but for right now, the Yankees are utilizing his talent in this lineup and is starting to show in the standings and MLB picks.

The only thing about the Yankees that scares me in this game is Michael Pineda (1-3, 5.73). Pineda gets very high and low mentally and when he give's up a home run. He need's to shrug it off. That said, I'm still going to stick with the Yankees as the Royals can't buy a game. However, if you're interested in a 'total's pick for this match, fatten your wallet by grabbing this 'Under' pick!

Milwaukee Brewers vs. Miami Marlins

Extreme Odds
The Miami Marlins are 17-15 but just 7-10 at Marlins Stadium and are coming off of a 10-2 pounding at the hands of the Milwaukee Brewers and are a -177 betting favorite. To me, they're a 50-50 betting proposition at best and this might be a good spot to side with the Brew Crew.

It's the same old story for the Brewers as they have a very capable offense, but their pitching is awful and that's why they're a sub .500 baseball squad.

Their top 4 out of 5 hitters are hitting .300 or better with Ryan Braun leading the way at .368 and this is a team that's capable of winning any game. They beat a good pitcher last night and stand a good chance for another "w" tonight. Last night, Milwaukee had 5 hitters with 2 hits or more and drew 6 walks. They didn't need star catcher, Jonathan Lucroy to contribute as Lucroy was 0 for 6.

With Jonathan Villar and Hernan Perez who are both very capable of swiping a bag, Milwaukee's goal is to set up Ryan Braun and get off to an early lead.

Apologies Accepted
At one point, Ryan Braun was one of the most hated men in baseball as he lied about PED's and made a man lose his job. Now, all is forgotten as Braun personally made phone calls to actual Brewers fans and is starting to hit like the Braun of old.

For the season, he has 7 HR ,26 RBI, and batting .368. Braun has an OBP% of .435. In the month of May, Braun is hitting .436 with 2 HR, and 8 RBI. I know that the Miami Marlins have one of the best power hitters in the game in Giancarlo Stanton (10 HR, 24 RBI), but this game is very winnable for the Brew Crew and the MLB odds are worth taking a chance on.
