For today's MLB betting report, our handicappers have analyzed five games very closely before finalizing their favorite baseball betting picks. Which money-line and total picks are they taking to the sportsbooks?

Boston Red Sox (Peavy) vs. Baltimore Orioles (Norris)
Covered by Willie Bee
Both the Orioles and Red Sox are an even 5-5 over their last 10 games each, but it's Baltimore that's sitting prettier at 31-30 overall. Boston is six games under .500 heading into tonight.

As for the starting pitchers tonight, we've got Bud Norris (4-5, 4.41 ERA) and Jake Peavy (1-3, 4.72 ERA) on the mound, neither of whom have been too reliable.

That, along with two power-heavy offenses, is making Willie gravitate towards the OVER with his sports picks. It's a relatively high number but one Willie still believes will be exceeded.

MLB Pick: OVER 8.5

Oakland Athletics (Chavez) vs. Los Angeles Angels (Richards)
Covered by Willie Bee
Things are definitely getting interesting in the AL West, with Oakland still leading the way at 39-24. The Angels have been playing much better lately though, winning three straight to help them pull within 4.5 games of the division lead.

Garrett Richards will try to replicate his wonderful outing (8.0 IP, 4 H, 0 ER, 9 K) that he had against Houston last week, while Jesse Chavez (5-3, 3.04 ERA) will take the bump for Oakland.

Runs could indeed but hard to come by tonight, but ultimately Willie is recommending an Angels win at this short price.

MLB Pick: Angels -115

Washington Nationals (Strasburg) vs. San Francisco Giants (Vogelsong)
Covered by Ron Patrick and Jeff Grant
With the way Ryan Vogelsong's been performing on the mound, the Giants will like their chances of winning their sixth straight game this evening.

San Francisco has already built up a 9.5-game lead in the NL West and have shown no signs of slowing down. Vogelsong (4-2, 3.39 ERA) and the rest of the pitching staff has been a major part of their success.

The Nationals will respond with ace Stephen Strasburg, who's 5-4 with a 3.10 ERA on the season, and we actually have to opposite picks from our cappers. Ron is on the OVER, while Jeff likes the UNDER. Which way will you go?

MLB Pick: Ron: OVER 6.5 // Jeff: UNDER 6.5

Los Angeles Dodgers (Haren) vs. Cincinnati Reds (Cingrani)
Covered by Jeff Grant
Injuries have been killing the Dodgers recently and it hasn't helped that they've been quite terrible at home, going 13-19 on the road.

They'll actually be glad to be on the road in Cincinnati, as they've gone 20-12 outside of Los Angeles so far in 2014. As for the Reds, who are an even 15-15 at home this season, they've won two in a row to pull within three games of reaching .500.

Will young Tony Cingrani be able to stifle the Dodgers at home tonight? Can Dan Haren (5-4, 3.50 ERA) keep posting serviceable numbers? Jeff is backing Haren to lead Los Angeles to the road win.

MLB Pick: Dodgers -105

Detroit Tigers (Porcello) vs. Chicago White Sox (Noesi)
Covered by Jeff Grant
We close out in the Windy City, where the White Sox will entertain the Tigers in an AL Central battle. The MLB odds, as expected, have Detroit favored despite being on the road.

Rick Porcello has been killing it for the Tigers this season, going 8-3 with a 3.69 ERA, giving the visitors the advantage over Hector Noesi and the White Sox. Noesi is just 1-4 with a poor 5.29 earned run average.

Detroit has actually fared better on the road (17-11) than they have at home (16-15), so we can't blame Jeff for taking the Tigers at a relatively cheap price this evening.

MLB Pick: Tigers -125
