Our top MLB betting verdicts are in for Monday as we try to start off our week in positive fashion. Our handicappers have tracked the available baseball betting odds and have come up with their favorite plays of the day.

The largest favorites on the board tonight? That would be Oakland, priced out at -190 at home over the White Sox, as well as Seattle (-160 vs. Rays), St. Louis (-155 vs. Cubs), Los Angeles (-150 vs. Marlins) and the Yankees (-150 vs. Mets). Let's see what our cappers have come up with.

Detroit Tigers (Porcello) vs. Baltimore Orioles (Norris)
Covered by Willie Bee
Though both the Orioles and Tigers dropped games yesterday, they're still atop their respective divisions ahead of tonight's series opener in Baltimore. Bud Norris and Rick Porcello will pick up the starts.

Detroit has been excellent on the road, going 8-4 so far, and Porcello has been strong lately. That's why Willie is going with the Tigers as the short favorites in the MLB odds.

MLB Pick: Tigers -110

New York Mets (Colon) vs. New York Yankees (Kuroda)
Covered by Willie Bee
Despite winning yesterday, the Mets are a miserable 2-8 over their last 10. They now take the short trip to the Bronx to take on the Yankees, with veteran hurlers Hiroki Kuroda and Bartolo Colon set to take the mound.

Neither Kuroda (2-3, 4.43 ERA) or Colon (2-5, 5.36 ERA) have been too good this season, so Willie's simply going to go with value and side with the visiting Mets.

MLB Pick: Mets +140

Miami Marlins (Koehler) vs. Los Angeles Dodgers (Haren)
Covered by Ron Patrick
How about those Marlins? Sure, they've lost three in a row, but they're still two games over .500, making them one of the pleasant surprises in the early stages of the season so far.

Tom Koehler, who's 3-2 with a 1.99 ERA, has been an integral part of Miami's success, but he'll have to be at his very best to out-pitch Dan Haren (4-1, 2.68 ERA) tonight. Ron is forecasting a win for the Marlins at a highly attractive underdog price.

MLB Pick: Marlins +152

Atlanta Braves (Floyd) vs. San Francisco Giants (Lincecum)
Covered by Jeff Grant
The Braves have re-asserted control in the NL East by winning three games in a row. They'll have Gavin Floyd making his second start of the season tonight – in his debut he pitched seven innings and allowed only one run.

The Giants turn to Tim Lincecum, who's been incredibly poor with a 5.55 earned run average. Nonetheless, Jeff is backing a San Francisco win on the money-line.

MLB Pick: Giants -115

Los Angeles Angels (Wilson) vs. Toronto Blue Jays (Buehrle)
Covered by Jeff Grant
Thanks to a three-game winning streak, the Angels have climbed into the second spot in the AL West. They'll have left-hander C.J. Wilson on the bump tonight, with Toronto putting their faith in Mark Buehrle.

Los Angeles has actually been better on the road (11-7) than at home (8-10) and Jeff thinks they'll get another victory.

MLB Pick: Angels +100

Chicago Cubs (Wood) vs. St. Louis Cardinals (Lyons)
Covered by Jeff Grant
Familiar foes meet up this evening when Tyler Lyons and the Cardinals square off with Travis Wood and the Cubs. Lyons is 0-2 with a 3.43 ERA, while Wood has gone 2-4 with a 4.75 ERA thus far in 2014. Wood was demolished for eight earned runs in four innings in his most recent start.

Jeff has broken down the baseball betting lines for this matchup and believes we need to roll with the dogs.

MLB Pick: Cubs +155
