We have covered four games closely in preparation for tonight's MLB action, so come in and see how the baseball betting odds shaping up and which picks stand out most in terms of apparent value.

Pittsburgh Pirates (Rodriguez) vs. Cincinnati Reds (Bailey)
Covered by Willie Bee
The Pirates started off their road trip by winning two of three in Chicago over the Cubs, but they just got swept by Milwaukee and now have to contend with the Reds for a three-game set.

It's been a very rough start for Cincinnati, widely considered one of the favorites in the National League before the season started. They've gone 4-8 so far and have lost every single one of their series.

Homer Bailey starts for the Reds tonight and hopes to be the catalyst to getting them back on track. He's struggled in both of his starts, both of which came against St. Louis, giving up 16 hits and eight runs over 9 and 1/3 combined innings.

For Pittsburgh, Wandy Rodriguez starts and he's lost both of his outings (each against the Cubs). With his MLB picks for tonight, Willie is backing the Reds as small chalk.

MLB Pick: Reds -120

Seattle Mariners (Elias) vs. Texas Rangers (Lewis)
Covered by Willie Bee
Another division battle here, this time featuring the Rangers and Mariners. Texas is off to a 6-6 start, with Seattle a little bit better at 6-5 overall, despite just losing two of their last three at home against the Athletics.

The Rangers, who have won four of their first six at home, will turn to Colby Lewis, who makes his first start of the season.

Seattle will be hoping Roenis Elias can give them some more quality innings. He's been very solid in his first two starts, allowing only six hits and three earned runs over 10 total innings, and has been unlucky not to get a winning decision.

There's some bad weather in the area, so be sure to keep tracking the updates, just like our resident handicapper Willie is. He's got a lean on this game right now and it's on the OVER, which is currently at nine runs at most sportsbooks.

MLB Pick: OVER 9

Atlanta Braves (Santana) vs. Philadelphia Phillies (Hernandez)
Covered by Jeff Grant
Both the Braves and Phillies are on three-game winning streaks coming into this NL East series encounter in the City of Brotherly Love.

Roberto Hernandez has yet to get out of the sixth inning in either of his first two starts, but he hasn't gotten beat up by any stretch of the imagination. Let's see what he can do against the Braves this evening.

On the other side will be Ervin Santana, who was fabulous in his season (and team) debut five days ago. He pitched eight innings of scoreless ball and surrendered only three hits while striking out six and walking none.

After pouring over the various angles and statistics, Jeff has come to the conclusion that we should back Atlanta as road favorites here in the opener. With the way Santana looked in his debut, it's hard to disagree.

MLB Pick: Braves -130

Oakland Athletics (Chavez) vs. Los Angeles Angels (Santiago)
Covered by Jeff Grant
Currently tops of the AL West at 8-4, the Athletics now begin a three-game set with the Angels. Oakland has been excellent on the road so far, winning five of six overall.

Los Angeles meanwhile is just 2-4 at home despite their 6-6 overall mark. They just took two of three at home against the Mets, closing out with a 14-2 thumping in the series finale yesterday.

Unfortunately for the Angels, they've gotten next to nothing out of Hector Santiago (0-2, 7.71 ERA) so far this season, and he'll be toeing the bump tonight. He'll be opposed by Oakland's Jesse Chavez, who's allowed just one run in each of his first two appearances.

Jeff is putting his faith in Los Angeles' bats here, as they've done well (winning four of five) against right-handed starters thus far. Will that happen again versus Chavez?

MLB Pick: Angels -110
