Doubleheader baseball meant we didn’t get a chance to beat the sportsbooks on Sunday Night Baseball. However, we split a pair this past Friday, losing a quarter unit, and I am still mad about it! Therefore, it’s time for a long-shot rage cash tonight.

Will Khris Davis Hit a Home Run?

Our lone play tonight is a good one, and it comes from the late contest between the Angels and Athletics. Khris Davis is hitting many dingers this season and here he has a matchup against Halos lefty Andrew Heaney. Of all the players on the slate tonight from Bovada, Davis looks like the best bet to hit a homer.

Heaney has never been good against right-handed hitters over his young career in the majors, but his brief time up in the show this season he has been atrocious. He has allowed righties to post a .530 wOBA and .342 batting average this season, and even though it’s only over 38 plate appearances it looks juicy for Davis.

Davis owns better numbers against right-handers this season, but if you look at his career numbers his power only dips slightly against lefties. He’s going to swing and miss tonight, but if he gets ahold of one it’s a +350 ticket for us.

It’s a bit of a risk, but with a short slate full of plays I don’t like, (I wanted to bet on Charlie Blackmon, but Bovada isn’t offering odds on him) I am going with a half unit play to win 1.75 units tonight.
