Our MLB totals are still a superb 24-14-4 during the previous twenty-one days. We’ve isolated two totals on Thursday’s abbreviated schedule, and thoroughly analyzed them for you in this betting preview article.

Yankees (Eovaldi) vs. Indians (Bauer) 7:10 PM ET
I’ve been very impressed with Nathan Eovaldi considering his shaky start to the 2015 season. Eovaldi has posted a stellar 2.92 ERA and 1.26 WHIP over his last nine starts. The Yankees have been futile offensively of late. “The Bronx Bombers” have averaged a miniscule 1.3 runs per game, and possess an absolutely horrible .157 team batting average during their last seven contests. The good news is that they’re pitching staff has been very good during those previous seven, allowing only 2.9 runs per game, and held opponents to a poor .222 team batting average during that stretch. Since 2013, the Yankees are 19-4 under the total after compiling a team batting average of .200 or less during their previous five games.

Trevor Bauer has certainly had his share of ups and downs this season. However, he’s displayed overall good form during his previous three starts, posting a stellar 2.86 ERA and 1.09 WHIP during those outings. According to MLB betting odds at 5Dimes, Cleveland is currently a +105 money line underdog today. Bauer has gone 8-1 under the total this season when he’s installed at +125 to -125 on the money line.

I like this game to be a low scoring affair for one of my MLB picks on Friday. Bookmaker is the only major sportsbook that has a posted total of 8.0 for this game, and all the rest are at 7.5.

MLB Pick: Yankees and Indians under 8.0 (-120) at Bookmaker

Pirates (Liriano) vs. Cardinals (Lynn) 7:15 PM ET
Since 2013, Francisco Liriano has made three starts at Busch Stadium in St. Louis. The Pirates southpaw hurler fared very well in those outings, compiling an excellent 0.95 ERA, 0.79 WHIP, and all three games went under the total.  Liriano has been rock solid during nine road starts in 2015 with a superb 2.11 ERA and 1.07 WHIP. Since 2014, Liriano has gone 15-5 under the total in his road starts.

Lance Lynn is 16-5 under the total in twenty-one starts this season while posting an outstanding 2.76 ERA. The Cardinals enter tonight having gone 7-1-1 under the total in their previous nine, and they allowed a paltry 2.0 runs per game during that time frame. St. Louis is 39-16-3 under the total at home, and 19-10-1 under when facing a southpaw starting pitcher this season.

Both of these bullpens tonight have been terrific all year. In their five encounters at St. Louis in 2015, these teams have gone 4-0-1 under the total.

MLB Pick: Pirates and Cardinals under 6.5 (+105) at JustBet
