Our MLB capper shares a pair of total winners for Sunday. Click and read this compelling betting preview article detailing exactly why he’ll be making these wagers.
Tigers (Wolf) vs. Indians (Carrasco) 4:10 PM ET (Game 2-DH)
Randy Wolf will be making just his fourth start of the season for Detroit in the second game of Sunday’s doubleheader. Wolf had an outstanding 2015 debut, allowing 1 earned run on 5 hits while walking 2 in a 2-0 loss to the Angels. However, his last two starts have been atrocious. During those outings he allowed 12 earned runs on 16 hits in just 8.0 innings pitched, and that equates to a monster 13.50 ERA. According to current MLB betting odds, Detroit is money line underdog in this contest. The Tigers are 46-20 (69.7%) over the total this season when installed as a money line underdog.
Carlos Carrasco has gone 10-2 over the total this season in his home team starts while compiling a 5.00 ERA. Carrasco has gone 9-1 over the total in ten career starts against Detroit, posting a large 7.06 ERA and 2.00 WHIP in those outings.
Cleveland has seen each of their seven home games versus Detroit go over the total in 2015. I like Game 2 of this doubleheader to go over the total as one of my MLB picks for Sunday.
Royals (Cueto) vs. Orioles (Chen) 8:05 PM ET
Johnny Cueto has gone 4-0 over the total gone over the total in his last four starts, and had an awful 9.45 ERA and 2.00 WHIP during those outings. One of those four starts for Cueto came against Baltimore on 8/26, and he allowed 6 earned runs on 8 hits while surrendering three home runs in 5.0 innings. He’ll be facing a Baltimore team tonight which has smacked 110 home runs during seventy games at home this season. The Royals are 7-3-1 over the total in their previous eleven games.
Wei-Yin Chen is 3-0 over the total in his last three starts with a large 6.61 ERA and 1.84 WHIP. Chen has allowed 28 home runs in 27 starts this year. Baltimore is 8-3 over the total in their previous eleven games.
These teams have combined to score an incredible 42 runs in the first two games of this series. I’m certainly not predicting that kind of offensive fireworks to take place again tonight. However, I like this game to surpass the number nonetheless for one of my MLB picks today.
