New York Mets (19-19) at New York Yankees (19-19)
The Perfect Time For Tanaka!
If George Steinbrenner were alive, there would be heads rolling as the New York Mets have embarrassed the New York Yankees in the first two games of this series at Yankee Stadium.

The baseball has been flying in a Yankee Stadium home run friendly park as the Mets have outscored the Yankees 21-14 in just 2 games. The Yankees look towards Masahiro Tanaka (5-0, 2.57), who hasn’t lost a game in over 2 years and 30 decisions, to stop the bleeding.

Curtis Granderson
I don’t want to call it the ultimate revenge because Curtis Granderson left the Yankees on good terms, but he wasn’t playing his best baseball. Granderson took the money and stayed in New York to play for the Metropolitans in Flushing.

Grandy has had his difficulties in Citifield and the fans have let him know about it. Before the Subway Series at Yankee Stadium, Granderson was hitting.185 with 3 HR and 14 RBI. After just 2 games in his old ball park, Granderson is now hitting .205 with 5 HR and 19 RBI.

This has got to be a worst case scenario for the Yankees ego as a lot of the Mets who can’t hit the ball out of the park at CitiField, are smashing home runs at Yankee Stadium, which has a short porch in right field.

It all ends here as Tanaka doesn’t know how to lose. Take the Yankees and lay the juice.

MLB Pick: Yankees -153 at 5 Dimes

Pittsburgh Pirates (16-22) at Milwaukee Brewers (25-14)
It’s All About the Odds
Odds makers appear to be way off in this game as the Milwaukee Brewers, the most improved team in the majors, are having a spectacular season and are sending a fairly dominate pitcher in Wily Peralta (4-2, 2.17) to the mound at home.

They face a Pittsburgh Pirates team who are having a very disappointing season as Pittsburgh sends last season’s ace, Francisco Liriano (0-3, 4.64), to the mound and Liriano has been very ineffective this season while still in search of his first win of the season. How can Milwaukee be just a -117 betting favorite? If you bet the Brew Crew, it appears to be a good deal.

Pirates Woes
Pittsburgh has also had a difficult time on the road where they’re just 4-11. The Bucs offense hasn’t been one of their strengths either. While they can always rely on superstar Andrew McCutchen (4 HR, 19 RBI, .312), the Pirates rank 23rd in the majors in runs, 18th in batting average, and 20th in slugging percentage.

Pittsburgh is also coming off of a 5-2 loss to Milwaukee in which Milwaukee’s starting pitching was the key to victory. This was something that couldn’t be said last season for the Brewers, but this season, their pitching has been effective.

The odds are very appealing here as the better team in Milwaukee should win at home.

MLB Pick: Milwaukee -117 at 5 Dimes

Good luck, everyone!
