Which games have our cappers decided to highlight with with their MLB picks tonight? Here is a rundown of all of the picks that will be on offer today at SBR Forum.

Our preferred MLB picks of the day have arrived and a lot of total plays have been recommended.

Cardinals (Miller) vs. Reds (Arroyo)

Covered by Willie Bee

This is as important of a series as you're going to find in baseball. The Cardinals and Reds are separated by only one and a half games, with these two Cincinnati wins so far in this series making a huge difference.

Last night it was pitching that ruled the roost, as Homer Bailey was stellar throughout. For game three of the set, Willie thinks the offenses will finally break out, helping the OVER 8 runs cash.

Tigers (Porcello) vs. Red Sox (Dempster)

Covered by Ron Patrick

Rick Porcello has actually been better on the road, where he's 6-4 with a 3.89 ERA, as opposed to going 5-3 with a 4.95 ERA at home. He hasn't faced Boston yet this season though, and it's never easy up against that powerful lineup.

The Red Sox have Ryan Dempster throwing and he's 5-7 with a 4.93 ERA at home on the year. Here's another case where our handicapper believes plenty of runs will be scored – Ron is on the OVER 9.5.

Rangers (Darvish) vs. Athletics (Parker)

Covered by Willie Bee

Don't be taken aback by a pitchers duel between Jarrod Parker and Yu Darvish. Darvish is 5-2 with a 2.62 ERA on the road, but has failed to win either of his two starts versus Oakland.

Meanwhile, Parker has been looking very good lately. He's 4-0 with a 2.88 ERA since the All-Star break and is 2-1 with a 3.15 ERA in three outings against Texas. Willie is tracking another total play, bu this time around it's on the UNDER 7 runs.

Rays (Hellickson) vs. Angels (Weaver)

Covered by Ron Patrick

Though the Rays are obviously the better team, the advantage here should go to Jered Weaver and the Angels at home. Weaver is 6-3 with a 2.59 ERA in 10 starts at home and is 6-2 with a 2.93 ERA over the second half of the season.

Jeremy Hellickson (10-8, 5.21 ERA) has been brutally bad over the last five weeks or so. He went 0-4 with a 9.15 ERA in the month of August, and his earned run average is creeping near 6.00 on the road for the season. Still, Ron feels as if if the best value is on the UNDER 7.5.

Orioles (Britton) vs. Indians (McAllister)

Covered by Joe Freda

The Orioles desperately need a win, but turn to a shaky Zach Britton to get the job done tonight. He didn't have the best of luck in his earlier stint in the majors this season and wasn't exactly lighting it up in Triple A either. In Britton's one start against the Indians he gave up six hits and three runs in five innings.

Cleveland will be hoping Zach McAllister can do better than he did last week in Detroit (3.2 IP, 6 H, 5 ER, 4 BB, 3 K). It seems Joe is under the impression we'll see a close low-scoring game, so he's adding the UNDER to his sports picks for the day.

Inside you'll find out how the baseball odds are shaping up for hump day.

Cardinals (Miller) vs. Reds (Arroyo)

Covered by Willie Bee

It's time to start worrying a little bit if you're a Cardinals fan. They've lost hold of the top spot in the NL Central and now the Reds are gaining steam as well.

Bronson Arroyo and Shelby Miller will take the mound for game three of the series, with Cincinnati favored at -120.

Tigers (Porcello) vs. Red Sox (Dempster)

Covered by Ron Patrick

Jon Lester had to be at his best to lead Boston to a win over Max Scherzer and Detroit and he did just that. Now it's Ryan Dempster's turn to impress at home.

The Red Sox, who own the best record in the AL, continue to churn out wins and have built up a comfortable 5.5-game lead in the AL East – and MLB odds list them at -120 to win tonight.

Rangers (Darvish) vs. Athletics (Parker)

Covered by Willie Bee

The Rangers won 5-1 last night to take over first place in the AL West and have a legit opportunity to make that lead bigger with Yu Darvish scheduled to pitch.

Fortunately for the Athletics, Jarrod Parker has been pitching exceptionally well recently, but that hasn't stopped sportsbooks from making the home team +115 underdogs.

Rays (Hellickson) vs. Angels (Weaver)

Covered by Joe Freda

Things are getting crazy in the American League playoff race, especially when it comes to the Wild Card spots. There are six teams that are legitimately in the running, but for now it's Oakland and Tampa Bay that are in the two top positions.

The Rays got Matt Moore back last night and he guided the road team to a hugely important victory. Tonight though we find Jered Weaver and the Angels installed as -120 chalk.

Orioles (Britton) vs. Indians (McAllister)

Covered by Joe Freda

The Orioles lost yesterday and find themselves three games behind in the Wild Card race, with the Yankees overtaking them in that regard.

It may be tough for Baltimore again tonight, considering Zach Britton (4.76 ERA) has lasted seven innings only one time this season. The Indians are -115 favorites right now.
