Braves (Medlen) vs. Nationals (Zimmermann)

Covered by Willie Bee

There hasn't been much movement in the odds here. The Nationals, with Jordan Zimmermannn on the hill, opened at -125 to win and that's the same line we find right now. Zimmermann, though, is coming off a month of July in which he went 1-3 with a 7.18 ERA.

Atlanta, winners of 12 in a row, will have Kris Medlen (8-10, 3.85 ERA) on the mound. Willie picked the Braves to win as underdogs last night and he's doing the same here, a smart move considering it's never too wise to bet against a long streak like the one Fredi Gonzalez's team has put together.

Rangers (Ogando) vs. Angels (Hanson)

Covered by Willie Bee

A three-game winning streak has the Rangers just one game back of the Athletics in the AL West now. Texas will take an 8-2 record over their last 10 games into this clash against Tommy Hanson, who's got a poor 5.29 ERA and 1.54 WHIP despite a 4-2 win-loss record.

Willie has been all over the Rangers in this series, correctly picking them to cash in each of the first two games. Tonight, he's switching gears by recommending his readers to make a play on the OVER 8 runs, which is currently available at plus money at certain sportsbooks.

Cubs (Wood) vs. Phillies (Hamels)

Covered by Joe Freda

Neither the Phillies or Cubs have a chance to reach the postseason and both teams are really in a bad way at the moment. Philadelphia has lost eight of ten, as has Chicago, while the Cubs have also lost five straight games ahead of tonight.

We expect a highly competitive game tonight with Cole Hamels going head-to-head with Travis Wood out on the hill. Joe is in agreement and sees a pitchers' duel on the cards, resulting in a pick on the UNDER 7.5 runs, which was getting heavily juiced at time of this writing. Jump on fast before this line possibly drops to seven.

Yankees (Sabathia) vs. White Sox (Santiago)

Covered by Ron Patrick

Getting Alex Rodriguez and Curtis Granderson back hasn't made much of a difference in all honesty. The Yankees have lost three in a row and now find themselves 10.5 games behind the Red Sox for first place in the division. They're six games back of a wild-card spot.

As you can see, New York really needs a good outing from C.C. Sabathia, who hasn't resembled an ace much at all this season. The Yankees will be doing everything in their power to avoid the sweep, and Ron thinks they'll do so – he's backing the road team at a short dog price of +102.

Brewers (Narveson) vs. Giants (Bumgarner)

Covered by Ron Patrick

It won't be Chris Narveson who picks up the start tonight. That honor belongs to Marco Estrada, who's 4-4 with a 5.32 ERA for the season. Madison Bumgarner (11-6, 2.69 ERA) gets the nod for San Francisco at home.

Bumgarner at AT&T Park automatically means a lot of chalk to take for the Giants, and tonight is no different They're at MLB odds of -215 to win, so instead of risking a significant amount, Ron is suggesting we look at San Francisco on the run-line instead. Ron thinks Milwaukee's struggles against lefties will continue.

7th Aug
Morning Betting Lines Report

By: Steven Suarez

Three early games are on the agenda for Wednesday, but the bulk of the action begins later on tonight. How are the MLB odds shaping up?

Braves (Medlen) vs. Nationals (Zimmermann)

Covered by Willie Bee

Make that 12 in a row for the Braves. Everything's going right for these guys right now, as they're managing to even win the close games.

How will they do against Jordan Zimmermann? Well, Zimmermann has been struggling lately, but the Nationals are still favored at -135 for tonight.

Rangers (Ogando) vs. Angels (Hanson)

Covered by Willie Bee

Tommy Hanson continues to struggle, but Alexi Ogando's inability to eat up innings could even up the score for tonight's game in Los Angeles.

The MLB betting lines are tight, with the Angels the home underdogs at +110 and the Rangers available for backing at -115.

Cubs (Wood) vs. Phillies (Hamels)

Covered by Joe Freda

Don't be waiting for a lot of offensive firepower in this encounter. Cole Hamels has been pitching better and better and Travis Wood has great stuff himself.

The Phillies, however, are getting some pretty large chalk to deal with though – they're listed as high as -160 to get the win over the Cubs.

Yankees (Sabathia) vs. White Sox (Santiago)

Covered by Ron Patrick

Meeting up with the Yankees has been the perfect way to get back on the winning track for the White Sox. They'll try to get another win here against C.C. Sabathia, with Hector Santiago on the mound for Chicago.

Current MLB odds offerings have the White Sox narrowly favored at about -110.

Brewers (Narveson) vs. Giants (Bumgarner)

Covered by Ron Patrick

At time of this writing, it was uncertain who was going to step in and start for Milwaukee in tonight's game at AT&T Park. With Tom Gorzelanny banged up, it's likely to be Chris Narveson on the hill.

On the other side, the Giants get the luxury of playing behind Madison Bumgarner, so that's why they're massive -230 favorites.
