It's time for us to break down the early MLB odds for Thursday's games.

We've got our MLB picks ready for viewing for Wednesday. Are you on the same side as our handicappers?

Rangers (Tepesch) vs. Orioles (Chen)

Covered by Willie Bee

The Rangers won once again as underdogs last night, with Martin Perez getting the win and Zach Britton getting the loss. It's been a great start to this series for the Rangers, but they could find it more difficult to put up runs tonight against Wei-Yin Chen, who's making his first start in close to two months. Chen was 3-3 with a 3.04 ERA and 1.20 WHIP before going down with a strained oblique.

Willie has nailed both of his picks so far in this set, but he's shifting gears tonight by going with the OVER 9.5 runs.

Athletics (Milone) vs. Pirates (Liriano)

Covered by Jeff Grant

Francisco Liriano (8-3, 2.20 ERA) has been a complete and utter stud for the Pirates this season. He'll need to have his best stuff against a feisty Oakland offense tonight, especially with Tommy Milone on the mound for the Athletics.

This has been an extremely hard-fought series so far, with both games being decided by a single run. Pittsburgh will enter this game as a favorite anywhere from -130 to -135, and Jeff feels as if they're the right side here.

Royals (Davis) vs. Yankees (Nova)

Covered by Joe Freda

Since getting recalled into the rotation late last month, Ivan Nova has been getting the job done for the Yankees. Five days ago he pitched nine innings against Baltimore, holding them to three hits and two runs while striking out 11.

The Royals will have Wade Davis on the hill. He was good in his most recent start (at home versus Oakland), but he's only picked up one winning decision over his previous eight appearances. Joe is siding with the UNDER 9 runs for tonight's game at Yankee Stadium.

Nationals (Gonzalez) vs. Phillies (Lee)

Covered by Ron Patrick

Cliff Lee's presence on the mound always gives the Phillies a legitimate chance of winning, especially with the way he's been throwing the ball this season. Washington, though, counters with a pretty good pitcher as well in Gio Gonzalez.

Ron had a difficult time choosing which side to take here, but in the end he's going to take the better price that comes with the Nationals. They're at +120 to win tonight on the MLB odds.

Angels (Wilson) vs. Cubs (Samardzija)

Covered by Jeff Grant

Jeff Samardzija (5-8, 3.54 ERA) and C.J. Wilson (8-6, 3.49 ERA) have been performing at a similar level this season, but the surging Angels are the clear-cut favorites for tonight's game in the Windy City.

Wilson has won four of his last five starts, while lowering his ERA from 4.02 to its current mark. The Angels have also had success when playing on the road as favorites (with Wilson on the mound), so he's picking L.A. to cash.

Red Sox (Doubront) vs. Mariners (Harang)

Covered by Joe Freda

A lot of people probably took the UNDER with their MLB picks yesterday because of Hisashi Iwakuma and his home splits throughout the season. However, there was an offense explosion early and it didn't let up.

This time around, Joe thinks the UNDER will come through for backers in a matchup that features Aaron Harang and Felix Doubront. The O/U is currently at 8 runs.

Mets (Wheeler) vs. Giants (Cain)

Covered by Willie Bee

The Mets added even more misery to the San Francisco camp yesterday by handing them a 10-6 loss. For the season, the Giants are now 40-49 overall, thanks to a stretch in which they've gone 2-12 over their last 14 games.

What that means is they have to get a good start out of Matt Cain here. He's been showing signs lately, but that's not stopping Willie from taking this fantastic price on the Mets (+179) for his sports picks.
