A double-header in the Bronx highlights Wednesday's baseball schedule. Check out the early morning MLB odds inside.

Again we've got some heavy chalk on the board. The Angels are listed at +200 to win over the Mariners, while the Braves (-180), Yankees (-180), Blue Jays (-170), and a few others are laying some big-time numbers as well.

Here are five sets of series that we will have MLB picks for today.

Athletics (Milone) vs. Rangers (Grimm)

Covered by Ron Patrick

The Athletics evened up the series at one game apiece last night, with Jarrod Parker out-pitching Yu Darvish to result in a cashed ticket for Oakland (+165) backers. The win pushed the Athletics three games ahead of the Rangers in the division.

With the way Justin Grimm's been pitching, the Athletics have a good chance of extending that lead further. The right-hander, who went 3-3 with a 5.05 ERA in May, is 0-2 with a unsightly 11.40 ERA through three starts in June. The Rangers are +100 underdogs tonight.

Dodgers (Ryu, Capuano) vs. Yankees (Kuroda, Hughes)

Covered by Joe Freda

Yesterday's postponement means we have a double-header today. Instead of Hyun-Jin Ryu pitching against Phil Hughes, Hiroki Kuroda will start game one of the set and Hughes will move to tonight against Chris Capuano.

No MLB odds for the early game had been released at time of writing, but for the nightcap the Yankees were favored at a high number of -180. Both Hughes (3-5, 4.89 ERA) and Capuano (1-4, 5.45 ERA) have been unreliable to say the least, so that night game is going to be tough to call.

Nationals (Gonzalez) vs. Phillies (Kendrick)

Covered by Willie Bee

How will Kyle Kendrick respond after getting lit up by the Rockies in his most recent start? He should be able to do a little better at home against a light-hitting team in Washington, though the Nationals will bring stud Gio Gonzalez to the table tonight.

Over his previous three starts, Gonzalez has allowed four earned runs (20 innings), lowering his ERA to 3.40 in the process. He'll lead out the Nationals as -115 favorites at the sportsbooks, while the O/U can be found at 7.5 runs.

Mets (Marcum) vs. Braves (Medlen)

Covered by Willie Bee

The Mets took both games of the double-header yesterday, but will once again find themselves as huge underdogs (+170) for tonight's matchup. Shaun Marcum will take the hill for the road team, with Kris Medlen starting for Atlanta.

These two pitchers are a combined 3-15 on the season, but Medlen (3.09 ERA has been unlucky not to have a better record. The righty has gone 1-4 with a 2.85 ERA at home this season. Will he get the run support he needs tonight?

Brewers (Lohse) vs. Astros (Bedard)

Covered by Joe Freda

It was a walk in the park for the Astros last night and they'll be hoping they can put forth a similar offensive display against Kyle Lohse (2-6, 3.84 ERA) tonight. Erik Bedard (2-3, 4.82 ERA) gets the call for Houston.

All in all, the Astros are playing some good baseball right now. After a six-game losing streak, they've gone on to win five of their last six, all of which came at home. Tonight Houston is a small underdog at +100, with the total at 8.5 runs.
