Another day, another action-packed baseball slate. We're here every weekday with a MLB betting odds report which features brief breakdowns of the available lines and the posted starters. Here's what we've got in store for Tuesday night.

What kind of MLB betting lines are out there for tonight?

Well, the two heaviest favorites will be the the Cardinals, who are listed at -230 at home over the Cubs, and the Athletics, who can be found at a price as high as -200 to win over the White Sox at home. Below you'll find seven money-line and total plays that stand out to our handicappers.

Detroit Tigers (Smyly) vs. Baltimore Orioles (Jimenez)
Covered by Willie Bee
The Tigers took yesterday's series opener behind another great outing from Rick Porcello. Can they get something similar out of Drew Smyly tonight? Willie is going to ride Detroit, who have gone 7-3 over their last 10, to make it two wins out of two with another victory over Ubaldo Jimenez and the Orioles.

Pick: Tigers -110

New York Mets (Wheeler) vs. New York Yankees (Nuno)
Covered by Willie Bee
Starting pitching let the Yankees down once again, as they fell at home to the Mets. Tonight's game will feature Vidal Nuno and Zack Wheeler, with the former at 1-0 with a 5.47 ERA and Wheeler at 1-3 with a 3.89 ERA. Willie thinks we'll see another offensive explosion and will be on the OVER.

Pick: OVER 8.5

Miami Marlins (Turner) vs. Los Angeles Dodgers (Beckett)
Covered by Ron Patrick
A much-needed win for the Dodgers last night and they'll try to get it done again tonight with Josh Beckett on the mound. Beckett has looked good, posting a 2.80 ERA on the season. Still, Ron doesn't have a lot of faith in Jacob Turner (6.75 ERA) and will be siding with the OVER to cash at the sportsbooks.

Pick: OVER 7.5

Atlanta Braves (Minor) vs. San Francisco Giants (Vogelsong)
Covered by Ron Patrick & Jeff Grant
What a performance from Tim Lincecum last night. The Giants have been waiting for that all season and it was a pleasure to see him pitch at such a high level. Now it's Ryan Vogelsong's turn (1-3, 3.93 ERA) and he's really turned things around over his last three starts – both Ron and Jeff like the Giants to win tonight.

Pick: Giants +100

Los Angeles Angels (Shoemaker) vs. Philadelphia Phillies (Lee)
Covered by Joe Catalano
Tonight's series opener will have Cliff Lee going up against little known Matt Shoemaker, who will make his first start of the season. Considering Lee has looked flat out dominant at times this year, it's no surprise to see Joe likes the Phillies as the chalky favorites. Will Philadelphia improve on its poor 6-9 record at home?

Pick: Phillies -148

Washington Nationals (Strasburg) vs. Arizona Diamondbacks (Arroyo)
Covered by Jeff Grant
Though the Diamondbacks have been playing better as of late, they've dug themselves a pretty big hole. They're 11 games back of first place in the NL West and it's certainly not going to be easy against Stephen Strasburg (3-2, 3.42 ERA) tonight. Jeff believes we'll see the Nationals grab the victory over Bronson Arroyo and company.

Pick: Nationals -130

Tampa Bay Rays (Price) vs. Seattle Mariners (Iwakuma)
Covered by Jeff Grant
The Rays are having a rough go of it right now, having dropped two in a row and seven of their last ten. Will they have any success against Hisashi Iwakuma tonight? While they will be hitting behind ace David Price (3-3, 4.53 ERA), Jeff likes the value on Seattle here at home and will back them to get the win.

Pick: Mariners +102
