Yankees (Nova) vs. Orioles (Gonzalez)

Covered by Willie Bee

Were it not for the Yankees' poor road form this season (32-37), they'd be in a much better position in terms of the playoff race. As it stands, New York is three games back of a Wild Card spot.

They will look for a spark from Ivan Nova tonight, who only last four innings against Boston last week. That being said, prior to that he pitched a complete-game shutout, allowing only five hits, at home against these same Orioles.

Meanwhile, Miguel Gonzalez has struggled over the second half of 2013, mustering up a 2-4 record and 5.09 ERA in 10 total appearances. Willie's OVER play yesterday didn't hit the mark, but he's going right back to it for tonight.

Red Sox (Buchholz) vs. Rays (Price)

Covered by Ron Patrick

Clay Buchholz makes his long-awaited return tonight and it couldn't come at a better time for the Red Sox. Before going down injured, the right-hander was 9-0 with a 1.71 ERA and 1.02 WHIP.

For Tampa Bay, David Price will take the bump. He hasn't been at his sharpest lately, but his stuff is legit and the Red Sox have found that out the hard way. In four meetings against Boston, he's gone 2-1 with a 2.55 ERA, which covers a span of 24 and 2/3 innings.

This should be quite the game to watch, but what's the right side with our MLB picks? Given Jacoby Ellsburg is still missing and you never really know how a pitcher will perform straight off the DL, Ron is playing it a little safer by taking on the -130 chalk that comes with Tampa Bay.

Pirates (Liriano) vs. Rangers (Perez)

Covered by Willie Bee

Two lefties that have been very successful this season will take the mound. Will it be Martin Perez or Francisco Liriano that pitches better in tonight's crucial game?

Perez has won six of his nine starts since the All-Star Break and is 2-1 with a 2.20 ERA in five starts at home. But then there's Liriano, who's always capable of shutting down an opposing lineup, despite the fact he was beat up his last time on the mound.

A lot is on the line for tonight's game, making choosing a side that much more difficult. After a lot of deliberation, Willie has decided to roll with the UNDER 8.5 runs in hopes that Perez and Liriano will both bring their A games.

Cubs (Jackson) vs. Reds (Cingrani)

Covered by Ron Patrick

Though the Reds couldn't get anything going against Travis Wood last night, we don't expect such a dominant pitching performance out of Edwin Jackson tonight. For the year he's 4-15 with a 4.91 ERA and 1.43 WHIP.

The advantage is clearly in Cincinnati's favor with exciting young lefty Tony Cingrani on the mound. At 4-2 with a 2.08 ERA in seven starts post All-Star Break, Cingrani is in good form right now and he knows how important this game is to the Reds.

We don't blame you for not wanting to take Cincinnati at such a chalky number (-220), but Ron has offered a solution: how about taking the Reds on the run-line, which is available at a much more appealing MLB odds of -105? That's what he'll be doing tonight.

Yankees (Nova) vs. Orioles (Gonzalez)

Covered by Willie Bee

The Orioles, just 1.5 games back in the Wild Card race, won the opening game of the series. They'll be hoping Miguel Gonzalez can fare much better than he did last time he faced the Yankees, when he was beat up for six hits and seven runs in four innings.

It's Ivan Nova's turn in the rotation for New York, but the Yankees find themselves as +115 underdogs for tonight.

Red Sox (Buchholz) vs. Rays (Price)

Covered by Ron Patrick

Well look who's back. Clay Buchholz makes his first major league start in over three months this evening and it comes against a tough foe in Tampa Bay.

Making matters even more difficult for Buchholz and the Red Sox is the fact they'll be up against David Price, who's held Boston to a .180 BAA in four starts this season. The Rays are favored at -140 to get the victory.

Pirates (Liriano) vs. Rangers (Perez)

Covered by Willie Bee

Gerrit Cole won out in an amazing pitchers duel last night, with Pittsburgh grabbing a hugely important 1-0 win over Yu Darvish and the Rangers. Tonight it's two southpaws in Martin Perez and Francisco Liriano going at it.

It's rare to get Liriano at a plus price, but that's the case in this MLB betting spot – the Pirates are +120 underdogs, with the Rangers at -125.

Cubs (Jackson) vs. Reds (Cingrani)

Covered by Ron Patrick

The Reds had no answer for Travis Wood in yesterday's 2-0 home loss to the Cubs. The Reds have to bounce back immediately, as Tony Cingrani tries to get the hosts back on the winning side.

Considering Edwin Jackson is 3-8 with a 5.27 ERA on the road this season, the chances of a Cincinnati win are strong tonight. MLB Odds makers agree wholeheartedly, which is why the Reds are the biggest chalk of Tuesday's slate at -220.
