Below you can find our MLB picks for the day and as you can see we've got a lot to share.

Red Sox (Peavy) vs. Giants (Vogelsong)

Covered by Swingin' Johnson

Jon Lester was masterful in Boston's win last night – what does Jake Peavy have us in store for us tonight in game two of the series?

Again the pitching edge has to go to the visiting Red Sox. Peavy has been far more reliable on the whole than has Vogelsong, part of the reason Swingin' Johnson is adding Boston as one his sports picks. In order to stay away from the heavy juice, he's going to go with the Red Sox on the run-line.

Blue Jays (Rogers/Buehrle) vs. Yankees (Nova/Hughes)

Covered by Joe Freda

It looks like the starts have been set, with Ivan Nova up against Esmil Rogers in the day game and Phil Hughes and Mark Buehrle taking the bump in the nightcap. MLB odds have the Yankees favored at -175 for game one and -125 for tonight.

Joe has been so kind as to hand out free sports picks for both games. He likes the UNDER 8.5 runs this afternoon and then the OVER 9 runs when Hughes and Buehrle are on the mound.

Indians (McAllister) vs. Angels (Wilson)

Covered by Joe Freda

Danny Salazar's start was pushed back to tonight and he'll try to help Cleveland to another in Los Angeles over C.J. Wilson and the Angels.

Salazar struggled in his latest start and is likely to be monitored closely in terms of a pitch count, which means we could see Cleveland's bullpen utilized early. Wilson hasn't been too dominant lately either, so Joe thinks the OVER 7.5 runs is the way to go this evening.

Dodgers (Capuano) vs. Marlins (Turner)

Covered by Willie Bee

What a great effort from Jose Fernandez, who padded his dominant home statistics even further. Now it's Jacob Turner's turn, with the right-hander are 3-0 with a 2.34 ERA in six starts at home this season. Chris Capuano, L.A's starter, is 2-2 with a 3.02 ERA in nine total appearances in 2013.

It was hard for Willie not to go right back and pick the Dodgers, since he doesn't think they'll be losing a third straight, but he's going to stick with his play on the OVER 7.5 runs tonight.

Twins (Pelfrey) vs. Tigers (Porcello)

Covered by Ron Patrick

Mike Pelfrey has been a little better over the second half of the season, but his 5.19 road ERA and 4.96 ERA against Detroit this season doesn't bode well for the Twins tonight.

Rick Porcello meanwhile has been a heck of a lot better since the All-Star break, going 3-0 with a 2.84 ERA over five starts. He's also gone 5-1 with a 3.19 ERA in 10 night starts, as opposed to a 4-5 record and 5.35 ERA during the day. Tonight Ron is picking Detroit to win on the run-line at -105.

Pirates (Burnett) vs. Padres (Ross)

Covered by Ron Patrick

Since the All-Star break, Tyson Ross has been virtually unhittable, going 3-1 with a 1.32 ERA in five starts. Opposing hitters have batted a horrific .149 against him and now it's time to see how Pittsburgh handles the 26-year old righty.

A.J. Burnett has had difficulty replicating his best stuff out on the road, where he's 2-5 with a 4.06 ERA. Does that make the Padres (+112) the better value play here at home? In Ron's mind it does.

Astros (Cosart) vs. Rangers (Blackley)

Covered by Willie Bee

With Alexi Ogando banged up, Travis Blackley will fill in and make a spot-start. For Houston, Jarred Cosart has been terrific since getting called up, allowing only five earned runs over 39.0 innings, and will try to keep it going in this tough matchup against the Rangers.

Last night's OVER 8.5 runs play was about as easy as they come for Willie and it has to look pretty temping again tonight. In fact, that's the recommendation on the cards for our resident MLB handicappers – Willie's picking the OVER 9 runs.

Tuesday Morning Odds Report

By: Steven Suarez

A doubleheader featuring the Yankees and Blue Jays headlines a full day of baseball for handicappers and casual fans alike. Where else are our cappers looking to place their MLB picks tonight?

Red Sox (Peavy) vs. Giants (Vogelsong)

Covered by Swingin' Johnson

Jake Peavy has mixed in one poor start with two quality outings since moving to Boston. Tonight he gets a crack at the Giants in San Francisco, with the MLB odds showing the Red Sox as -150 chalk.

Blue Jays (Rogers/Buehrle) vs. Yankees (Nova/Hughes)

Covered by Joe Freda

The starting pitchers for both games hadn't been finalized at time of writing, so the MLB betting lines hadn't been released either. New York needs both of these games to hang around in the American League East.

Indians (McAllister) vs. Angels (Wilson)

Covered by Joe Freda

Who could have predicted it would be the Indians nearly 10 games above .500 and the Angels over 10 games under .500 at this point in the season? C.J. Wilson and L.A. will likely be favored for tonight though.

Dodgers (Capuano) vs. Marlins (Turner)

Covered by Willie Bee

Jose Fernandez cooled off the Dodgers in impressive fashion last night. Let's see how Jacob Turner can do against L.A. – the road team, with Chris Capuano on the hill, is listed as a -145 favorite for now.

Twins (Pelfrey) vs. Tigers (Porcello)

Covered by Ron Patrick

Don't be surprised to see runs aplenty in tonight's game between Detroit and Minnesota. Nearly all online sportsbooks have Miguel Cabrera and the Tigers rightly favored at a high price of -215, while the total is at nine runs.

Odds to be released

Pirates (Burnett) vs. Padres (Ross)

Covered by Ron Patrick

One night after Francisco Liriano dazzled at PETCO Park, A.J. Burnett will aim for something similar. Tyson Ross, though, has been spectacular for the Padres, so the MLB odds aren't as significant for tonight.

Astros (Cosart) vs. Rangers (Blackley)

Covered by Willie Bee

It looks like veteran left-hander Travis Blackley will be recalled from Triple A to start Tuesday's game for Texas. It may not matter much who pitches given how the Rangers are swinging the bats right now.
