Need help deciphering where the best value lies for your MLB picks tonight? Check out our preview of the games we'll be breaking down closely.

We're back to a full schedule tonight, so follow along with us as we try to locate the most appealing MLB betting value.

Braves (Teheran) vs. Nationals (Gonzalez)

Covered by Willie Bee

Gio Gonzalez didn't have the best of months, going 2-1 with a 5.34 ERA in five July starts. He's also struggled in three outings against Atlanta this season, allowing 17 hits and 13 earned runs in 16.0 innings.

Can Gonzalez figure it out this time around? It seems likely he'll pitch better, but Willie is still going to roll with the Braves as one of his sports picks. Simply put, it's hard to fade a team that's on such a long winning streak – now at 11 games – so Atlanta at plus money seems like a strong play at first glance.

Rangers (Darvish) vs. Angels (Richards)

Covered by Willie Bee

Coming in, Yu Darvish is 3-2 with a 2.68 ERA in eight road starts, with batters hitting a paltry .170 against him. That's good stuff right there. Darvish will be opposed by Garrett Richards, who's allowed a total of two runs over his last two assignments.

Irrespective of Richards' solid outings lately, Darvish and the Rangers are clear-cut favorites at -150 in the MLB odds. And, with his MLB picks, Willie is going to recommend that readers take on the chalk and back the road team in this spot.

Yankees (Kuroda) vs. White Sox (Sale)

Covered by Ron Patrick

The Yankees were smacked around last night and now have to try and figure out Chris Sale, who's rocking a 2.28 ERA at home this season. At least New York will have the luxury of calling on Hiroki Kuroda – the Japanese righty just finished July with a 3-0 record and terrific 0.55 earned run average.

Meanwhile, poor run support has plagued Sale, and Ron believes Chicago's bats will have trouble once again against Kuroda. A plus price (+110) on such a good pitcher, regardless of being on the road, is too appealing for Ron, so he's backing New York to win.

Blue Jays (Johnson) vs. Mariners (Hernandez)

Covered by Joe Freda

On one side you've got Josh Johnson, who's 1-8 with a 6.60 ERA and 1.68 WHIP. On the other you've got Felix Hernandez, who's 11-4 with a 2.30 ERA and 1.06 WHIP. Now do you see why the Mariners are -170 for tonight's game at Safeco Field?

Even though Johnson has been incredibly unreliable throughout the season, Joe foresees somewhat of a pitchers' duel tonight. The UNDER is 4-3 in the previous seven head-to-head meetings between Seattle and Toronto and Joe is going to stick with that trend here.

Brewers (Peralta) vs. Giants (Cain)

Covered by Ron Patrick

Will Matt Cain be able to build on two straight quality starts? He has a nice matchup coming up tonight against a Milwaukee club that's gone a dreadful 20-34 out on the road this season. Current odds offering have San Francisco at -175 to secure the victory.

Technically, the Giants are still alive for a NL wild-card spot, but they really need to put together a winning run to have any chance. With a lot more to play for and an in-form Cain on the mound, Ron is selecting San Francisco on the run-line, which is available at +135 at the sportsbooks.

Morning Betting Lines Report

By: Steven Suarez

Braves (Teheran) vs. Nationals (Gonzalez)

Covered by Willie Bee

The streak's now at 11 games, as the Braves continue to tear it up regardless of who whtey're matched up against.

Again though Atlanta will find themselves as underdogs against Gio Gonzalez, with the Nationals opening as -125 favorites.

Rangers (Darvish) vs. Angels (Richards)

Covered by Willie Bee

Yu Darvish has been pretty special this season and he'll be taking a 10-5 record, 2.66 ERA, and 1.02 WHIP into tonight's game against Garrett Richards (3-4, 4.18 ERA) and the Angels.

It's clear oddsmakers have more faith in Darvish, which is why we find the Rangers posted up as -145 chalk this morning.

Yankees (Kuroda) vs. White Sox (Sale)

Covered by Ron Patrick

Andy Pettitte got shelled and the Yankees couldn't figure out Jose Quintana, leading to a very convincing victory for the White Sox last night.

Expect a more difficult run at things for Chicago's bats tonight against an always solid Hiroki Kuroda. That being said, Chris Sale is no slouch either, explaining why the MLB odds have the White Sox listed as -125 favorites.

Blue Jays (Johnson) vs. Mariners (Hernandez)

Covered by Joe Freda

It's been a truly miserable season for Josh Johnson, and unfortunately it won't get any easier as he has to try to out-duel Felix Hernandez, who everyone knows is a stud.

Seattle's bats have also looked better as of late, so it's no real surprise to see them at about -180 on the MLB odds board.

Brewers (Peralta) vs. Giants (Cain)

Covered by Ron Patrick

Slowly but surely, Matt Cain is starting to look like his old self. He's gone at least seven innings in two straight starts now and has lowered his ERA to 4.57.

He'll trot out with a San Francisco team that's a big-time favorite at -175. You can back the Brewers, with Wily Peralta starting, at +165 or so.
