It's time to run over the busy Wednesday MLB slate and see what kind of value we can find. Which two teams are we liking most with our MLB picks?

Houston Astros (Keuchel) vs. San Diego Padres (Cashner)
We've got a great pitching matchup on the cards this afternoon in sunny San Diego, with Andrew Cashner and Dallas Keuchel set to toe the rubber.

Keuchel will try to lead Houston to another win, which would be their sixth straight. Yes, the Astros have been one of the best surprises of the young season, and they've dominated San Diego in the first two games of the series, scoring a total of 23 runs. That's an impressive feat, especially considering Petco Park is typically known to favor pitchers.

As far as the MLB odds go, the Padres are barely favored at -110 to save their blushes and avoid the three-game sweep. They wouldn't rather have anyone else on the mound to try and get that done, as Cashner has been terrific in the early goings of the season. He's allowed a grand total of two earned runs over his last 19 innings of work and is rocking a 2.63 ERA on the year.

But, have you seen what Keuchel has been doing? The left-hander has been ridiculous, going 2-0 with a 0.62 ERA and 0.83 WHIP through his first four assignments. Those are some truly stellar numbers. Now he takes on the Padres in San Diego, aiming to guide the red-host Astros to yet another victory.

After looking over the various angles closely, we've opted to roll with the Padres with our MLB picks. This is a team that's been slaying lefties so far this season, and that puts them in a favorable position here at home against Keuchel. There's some regression coming for the southpaw and it could very well be this afternoon. Take Cashner and his San Diego teammates at this nice price.

Seattle Mariners (Hernandez) vs. Texas Rangers (Rodriguez)
Whereas the matchup between San Diego and Houston features to stellar pitchers going at it, the same cannot be said for tonight's meeting between Texas and Seattle.

The Mariners have won each of the first two games of the series, but only by a combined three runs, so they've had to claw their way to victory. Maybe that won't be necessary tonight with their ace on the mound. Felix Hernandez will be starting this evening and he's been nothing short of spectacular early on, which is why Seattle finds themselves as such heavy favorites on the MLB odds board. Hernandez will be opposed by Wandy Rodriguez.

King Felix was at his best in his latest start, pitching a complete-game shutout in Minnesota. He struck out nine and walked zero, thus lowering his ERA to a squeaky clean 1.61 ERA over four starts. Now he gets a crack at a Texas team that's ranked 23rd in runs scored so far this season. The Rangers have some powerful bats like Adrian Beltre and Prince Fielder, but they haven't been getting consistent production at the plate overall.

As for Rodriguez, he was pretty solid in his season debut, holding the Angels to five hits and one run over five innings of work. The 36-year-old is nearing the end of his career, however, and we're going to stay away from backing him unless he strings together a few more nice starts. We've seen the southphaw implode far too many times in the past to trust him here, especially against a revamped Seattle lineup that has Robinson Cano and Nelson Cruz batting third and fourth respectively.

As you can probably tell, we like the Mariners to wrap up the sweep tonight, only this time in more convincing fashion. As such, we're taking a chance with MLB picks on Seattle's run-line.

MLB Pick: Seattle Mariners -1.5 (-105)
