The level of pitching is somewhat average in the MLB on Tuesday. We should see a lot of even matched games with near even odds. Watch as we attempt to pick up two betting picks from today's card.

Toronto Blue Jays vs. Texas Rangers: All Locked Up At 69-55
SInce the Reyes for Tulowitzki trade, the Jays have flourished, coming back from a 5 game deficit in the American League East Division to tie the New York Yankees at 69-55. Most people attribute it to they play of Troy Tulowitzki, but that certainly isn't true. Even though both players are struggling , Reyes actually has the better numbers despite his disppointment of the trade.
It's Tulo who is only batting .218 for the Jays. This usually happens for Colorado Rockies players as their numbers are at an all time high in Colorado and wherever else they play, their numbers are low. I happen to think that Reyes is a better fit wih the Jays with his ability to get on base and his speed. Toronto has simply gotten hot after Reyes' departure thanks to the play of Josh Donaldson, Jose Bautista, and Edwin Encarnacion.
The Yankees managed a 1-0 victory with a sacrifice fly in the 9th inning of their battle with the Houston Astros at Yankee Stadium and the Jays had the day off. This has put these two teams in a deadlock tie for the division lead. No team can match Toronto's power and that's where Tulowitzki is a major asset as he hits in the leadoff spot in a crowded lineup.
This has been a reliable pitcher for Toronto and he get's the start tonight against the Rangers. Buehrle has been flying under the radar this season as he's carried a 13-6 mark with a 3.45 ERA. He's not overpowering, but very consistent.
If anyone had asked the Blue Jays for numbers out of this from Buehrle at the beginning of the season, they would've jumped at it. Buehrle has went 7 innings or more in 8 out of his last 10 starts and hasn't given up more than 3 runs in 9 of those 10 starts.
The only negative that actually might work to the bettor's advantage where odds are concerned are that Buehrle had his one poor start in his last outing in which he allowed 4 runs and 7 hits in 4 innings. He only pitches in the 80-90 pitch neighborhood each and every outing, but he makes it count and the Jays offense is very supportive. Toronto needs this game to keep pace with the Yankees and are the obvious pick at decent odds.

Houston Astros vs. New York Yankees: Keuchel vs. Nova
After yesterday's game, this is more of a gut call as I like this game to go under the 7.5 runs. New York hasn't been overwhelming offensively as of late as yesterday's game is proof of that. Nobody is tearing the cover off of the baseball and they have to face the Astros starter, Dallas Keuchel.
For the season, Keuchel is 14-6 with a 2.37 ERA. He's rotated wins and losses in 9 out of his last 10 games, but has had quality outings in 9 out of the 10 games, He's been giving up more hits than normal lately, but not allowing teams to score on him.
Although the Yankees need this game very badly, they haven't been consistent enough scoring runs. The power is there, but Mark Texeira hasn't been playing and Alex Rodriguez's batting average has dipped below .260. This has left the brunt of the work up to Jacoby Ellsbury, who has not been as good since returning from injury and Brett Gardner, who is a small ball player. I look for Ivan Nova to play well against the Astros and if there's any sign of trouble, the Yankees have one of the best bullpens in the league,
